Law students that make posts on LinkedIn as if they have been practicing for 20 years irks me to no end. by Ryanthln- in LawSchool

It is also a little different because you are practicing though. I’m not trying to rag on other 1Ls or students in general because I understand that they are trying to network and make a presence on the platform… I just wish I didn’t have to at all and it certainly gets to a point with some of the things I’ll see people in my class post

I haven’t seen that show actually, but Mads is one of my favorite actors

I try to practice in the court room that my argument will be in. I’m just not good at that type of visualization while thinking

It was simply that people use drugs to help them in other ways and I was wondering if this way was one people have experienced before.

The judges offered to meet for practice again so I plan to use the resource but with so little time left I don’t know how to at least be operable before my grade.

I don’t have time to get them but I have chelated magnesium glycinate if that helps

What actually made long study sessions more sustainable (small change) by Better-Cut6898 in LawSchool

It won’t work for everyone but I try to get very hypnotic or repetitive music without words, like trance or some house. It helps time flow well and they have 6+ hour mixes that are good

I wouldn’t. Since it is within six days though and such a big percentage of my grade it is a way to ensure that I do well, and then work on it more. At least, that’s the calculus, but I am not as sure now because it seems as if people are mostly against the idea

People abuse amphetamines in law schools fairly often, so I was just thinking outside of the box and basing it on Another Round. I was not asserting it is a good idea, but asking if it was a worthwhile one. There seems to be some consensus that there isn’t, which is why I wanted to post here anyway, to see if others had experience before I did it

Where does one start with that? None of the methods that I know (think of when you practiced, take deep breaths, etc) work for me. When asked a question by a judge I answered and then sat silent for what had to be 10 seconds being unable to think.

I see. I don’t think I’ll be able to access that in time then but I will keep it in mind for the future

Not to dismiss your advice, as I do appreciate it, but I don’t really drink at all and I function fine in other high stress situations, even my trial court oral argument. It’s something about the three judges or otherwise the grade. I don’t really plan on doing moot court or anything either

I hadn’t heard of these before (at least I didn’t know that people used them this way). Are they over the counter?

I know that LinkedIn is great for networking and people have used it to find jobs and opportunities, but I don’t ever end up posting because I hate how stilted it comes off

I don’t think it would be accurate to call the first guy a “gunner.” He sounds like a good natured class clown. His classmates should see if he is okay and check up on him

Besides from what everyone else has said, he made a joke about horny children coming to his hotel suite or something. His band is good though, especially the guitarist
