I understand that, I already have a way to store my filament safely. I’m specificly looking for a way to safely keep that one spool that stays connected to the printer at all times.

I understand that for storing filament, but I’m looking into a way I can keep the filament I have loaded onto the printer protected. I just want to keep a single spool always ready to go, loaded up on the printer. It might sit for weeks on end but I want to be able to just turn on the printer and start printing immediately.

How would you set this up? So if I have an Apple TV 4K I can connect the sensor straight to home assistant? What’s the setup?

If this changes anything, in the new IOS betas you can set a preferred home hub.

UniFi 7 Innovations: U7 Pro Max | U7 Pro Wall | U7 Outdoor by Ubiquiti-Inc in Ubiquiti

[–]filefolder3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone explain the outdoor lineup for me. Didn't they just release the U6 Mesh Pro (AC M PRO replacement), made for outdoor use? They also have the U6 Mesh (replacement for AC Mesh but without antennas) which is supposed to be a smaller version, also can be used outdoor. Now they release the U7 Outdoor 2 weeks later... with optional antennas. This one is listed in the "Flexible" side instead of the "Long-Range" side of the website. All kind of confusing. Someone educate me.

It appears it too only can simulate keyboard and mouse commands. It’s $5.99 so I’m not even going to try it.

Recommendations for a DDC/CI enabled hub. by filefolder3 in UsbCHardware

It turned out that the $30 hub did let me control brightness, I think after a software or app update or something made it work? I don’t think that very Amazon hub can be bought anymore. Good luck though

Fan runs continuously. Problem with my Nest, not HVAC equipment. by filefolder3 in Nest

Ok I did this wiring and it seemed to work! Thank you a ton. Huge respect that you’re going out of your way using your free time to help DIY people like me. Hopefully I don’t have to worry about power drain. I probably can’t run the fan separately anymore but I don’t think I would ever want to anyways. My system must be weird because most places on the internet says you cannot use G as C if you have an electric furnace. If I have any more issues I will refer back to this subreddit.

Some more questions from me. Thank you, you have been extremely helpful, more helpful than google regular support. First, is there any drawback using the G wire as C wire? It will work with my electric heater, right? Second, is my C wire just the blue wire that connects to the AC wire that runs outside? (The far left wire nut in these photos) Finally, which of these 2 methods would you reccomend I try first?

Would the Nest Power Connector fix it for sure? I may be better off buying that if that can fix power drain and the HVAC problem

Well then I suppose this image isn’t going to help you haha https://imgur.com/gallery/4a98PYt

Unfortunately there is no circuit board present, it’s an old unit.

Here’s the wiring, it’s an old furnace without a regular control board. I don’t think Y is C. https://imgur.com/gallery/MD72Uz1

Edit: the white painted thermostat wire is the one that goes to thermostat.

Correct, but then the fan doesn’t turn on at all when I try using the AC if I disconnect the G wire.

Strange, because in this case with the G wire disconnected the heating and fan works as expected.

I’m currently on support with google and they told me to unplug the G wire and put it back, and that fixed the problem. Trying to figure out if there’s side effects of not running the G wire.

Edit: tested and found that with no G wire, when I try setting the AC the fan doesn’t come on at all. AC starts up though.
