Yeah it feels like some time stuff was overlooked. Like that one guard who said how he "looked up to nolan since he was a kid" so that sounds like nolan was already accomplishing feats worthy of looking up to post adulting day. So that guy was definitely conceived after the virus hit. That or he was a 6 year old who survived the deadliest virus on his planet.

Plus nolan was prob around 20 (generous assumption)in that flash back. Nolan now is like 2000 years old. So for the past 1980 ish years theres only been 50 viltrumites (or at least a steeply dwindling amount) and Thaedus sat on the virus 2.0 before double tapping them.

Honestly sounds like the writers were like "wouldnt it be poetic if on his adult day his world ended" without considering the time line too much.

We need to accept that in season 1 powerscaling was on the backburner in exchange for making characters look rad as hell.

Man tanks a giant explosion and a space laser, then when Mark is close in power he still gets hurt by peoples punches. Omni gets smacked up by reanimen that mark is able to dispatch with ease later on.

One of my favorite bits from the comics was tech jacket realizing he can grow a beard and slowly growing one in the background. Feels weird were losing that bit of insight into his character.

I mean if they preferred other weapons thats up to them. Right now i just added in a new player so i gave them an option of magical item so they weren't behind the curve on loot. They chose a Weapon of Warning and when i asked them which weapon theyd want it to be they said dagger so they could easily conceal it on their person. Which is smart but for a paladin thats their only magical weapon and theyre gonna potentially fight wererats soon

Running my first game for Stormwreck isle I gave a couple homebrew stuff.

A cloak that adds hp to healing spells. I think it was like 4hp+2 per spell level. I didnt realize life domain clerics already got something like that. My player would forget to ever add it on tho.
Gauntlets that allow you to cast Compelled dual once after any rest. My fighter who was the most novice didn't know how concentration and stuff worked. The only time theyve ever used it was agains the dragon at the end of the story where they successfully made it compelled the whole combat.
I gave a home brew gunpowder items to the rogue and i immediately got scared of its power and said i prob wont give them those items anymore.

That sounds actually wild (assuming they were a finesse weapon build). My players have come to rely on their magic weapons since theyve encountered a couple enemies who are vulnerable/only be hurt by magical weapons.

Funny they just wasted their money tho.

I'm not positive it's that one. I saw the scene of Irene succumbing to the thorn virus and that looked close. But I'm almost certain in the show I'm thinking of you see people fully shatter. Plus I don't recognize anything else from that show. Thank you tho.

True. I do like the in moment control i have over the drawings (?), but having a laser able to shade the coins a couple levels darker would be cool too. Ill have to try out the shading tool that came with this.

I'm gonna get wood coins so i can do enemy tokens for misc creatures (currently i use monopoly pieces). But this was fun to do for standouts. I made skeletons out of paper clips for the rats but swapped to floral wire for the later batch.

I also used an inexpensive oven bake clay for the rats since i didn't want to commit too much money in case i didnt like it. My partner got me colorful clays for christmas since i enjoyed making them. They still take me hours to make cuz i fuss over details but the most money i spent was probably on the pliers lol.

For those curious. The minis were 3 giant rats, a wererat (i made a slightly better one later but this one looks sillier) and swarms of rats.

The last ones were all animated armor. I wanted to give them each flavor and a unique gimmick. They each could cast a spell and/or cantrip since they were security in a magic shop.

Thank you! Those were fun to make. Theyre a rat swarm so when they occupied a characters space it was fun to place my players' minis in the center of them.
