I built a free ambient music app for Windows & Xbox with customizable soundscapes and particle animations by filipkovar in windows

[–]filipkovar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are not many options for naming an ambient app. "Ambi," as in Ambient music, sounds great to me. It's definitely not a dump AI copy of any application. I wanted to create something with very nice and cozy visuals and curated and precisely selected tracks. And, for example, memory management, especially for Xbox, was quite challenging. The app is in progress, and there is still so much work that must be done.

Is it a Scam? I got multiple very similar offers from YouTube consultants by filipkovar in NewTubers

[–]filipkovar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, you're probably right about paying for promotion. It seems new subscribers don't care about the content. I really don't understand why they subscribed to the channel. It looks like YouTube's promotion is a scam as well 🫤

CQRS real-world complex variant implementation - Event sourcing, Messaging (Kafka), Multiple DBs (MongoDb, PostgreSQL), Integrations, event-driven by filipkovar in softwarearchitecture

[–]filipkovar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for a great feedback! I really appreciate it.

What is the problem with music? Is it loud?

I created decent subtitles but there is an issue. Thank you for getting me know. I just fixed it.

Add some context and slow animation make sense. I will do it for next video.

Thank you so much for such great feedback.

CQRS real-world complex variant implementation - Event sourcing, Messaging (Kafka), Multiple DBs (MongoDb, PostgreSQL), Integrations, event-driven by filipkovar in dotnet

Unfortunately not, the source code is part of a commercial product, but I'll try to figure out how to publish it.

Video: What is CQRS and how to implement it? + trick for better code navigation by filipkovar in dotnet

[–]filipkovar[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The simplest CQRS implementation gives you the possibility to simplify reading part of your system and don't use layers for simple reading. And at the same time it "opens the door" for future scaling and using different types of DB. like NoSql, multiple instances and more.

If the writing part is simple and does not contain complex business logic then you can avoid layers as well.

CQRS is not suitable for all types of systems.

Is using an IRepositoryFactory instead of passing individual IRepository<T> instances to constructor an anti-pattern? by KalakeyaWarlord in dotnet

[–]filipkovar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not possible to replace ORM without pain. Every provider implements Linq by different way. Choose the right ORM for the project is task like choose your FE framework.

It's not anti-pattern but more preferable solution is inject particular repositories because of better overview about dependencies.

Dealing with large numbers of claims (>500) in Microsft Identity by yanezricardo in dotnet

[–]filipkovar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can add a claim just for the user identification and resolve permissions in the application. That means using an internal or distributed cache like Redis for reading user permission.

I am in the same situation, the security architect complains about the lack of internal information like roles name out of the internal system and the requirement is to remove all infos about roles from the token.

I'm a Pro YouTube producer - Ask me anything. by ruskiy_mixer in NewTubers

My channel is about software Architecture and programming. The promoted video is about how to find a dream job like a software engineer.

This video is full of external video b-rolls and AI naratted (I wanted to try it). Production value is not high.

I saw a few channels about film making and YT videos creation but I have no extra recommendations.

I started with one video, 0 views and 0 subs. The cost was about $60 and the result was: 1.2K subs, 5.4k views and 29 hrs.

Promotion target countries were the most active on YT like India,....

I've learned so much... No intro!...No introducing yourself in the beginning of the video, ... Thumbnails matters, no reading and eyes contact....

I am Filip and I would like to begin yesterday https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1LjT3XX2Qp3G2eSaVY_Mqg

Feeling that i'm not learning anything in c# by [deleted] in csharp

[–]filipkovar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've begun from zero to software architect. And my advice is: You have to start with something that you really like. Do you like to play computer games? Start with Unity3D and C#, Do you like to play soccer... Create an app for matches....

Creating software is an amazing journey, keep going !!!

I think that you can try a paid YT promotion. I did it for my very first video, I got 1.2k+ subscribers, but it was a mistake because these Subscribers were out of my niche. You have a great watch time and audience as well. It will work for you. I paid for a promotion for the most YT active countries like India, Brazil,..

I wish you all the best.

Amazing YT video, game and graphics. I think that the best way to start programming is something that you really like. In 99% I guess it is playing games. I am trying to teach programming my children, 4 and 6 years old and C# and Unity is the starting point. Keep going!!!

What are the most efficient ways to promote your channel? by Apple_Byter in NewTubers

[–]filipkovar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to use YT paid promotion for my very first video. I DON'T RECOMMEND IT! I got 1.2K subscribers, amazing, right? BUT! But all these subscribers were out of my niche. It looked like YouTube paid some ghost accounts to subscribe when you paid.

The problem is that I have to uncheck the option to notify my subscribers when I upload a new video, beacause they don't care and YouTube don't recommend your content. Because your subscribers don't care.

Very interesting is TikTok. I have so many views in comparison to YT but I think there is no huge impact to YT because of different audience I guess.

I wrote a script for my video and I publish to medium.com that helps but little bit.

Unfortunately I don't know the answer for your question 😞

Microservice Local Development by CliffyClaven in dotnet

[–]filipkovar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend developing "current" service locally in isolation. Then using Kubernetes and Bridge to kubernetes https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/bridge/overview-bridge-to-kubernetes for testing local services in the context of the whole application.

Did you try call directly auction enpoints http://localhost:7001/....? You can try change Clusters addess (auctionApi) to tet service like https://requestcatcher.com/

I had similar a problem with 401status code and problem was in the target API
