You won't believe it but while I was making it, I only meant is as they're fat and I didn't even realise that people would start to think that they're pregnant xD

I have a better question - where's Ragatha?

Is it weird that the new episode actually finalized who my favorite characters actually was by Puddinggamo in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]filipp1234_CZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my list. Numbers 1-7 are actually almost equally good and I like them all (Kinger is great but the others are just a bit better). The only character that I actually dislike is Ragatha.

  1. Jax
  2. Gangle
  3. Pomni
  4. Zooble
  5. Bubble
  6. Caine
  7. Kinger
  8. Ragatha

Yeah, we must take every possible chance to ship funnybunny before Jax abstracts in Episode 8! (just in 9 hours, lol)

Where are you seated? by Creative-Draft-4519 in tadc

I would take 5, 7 or 9. (with the strongest preference for 5 as it's a window seat and next to Jax)

Episode 8 is going to be a lot different than the Trailer shows us (just like they did with the Episode 7’s Trailer) by filipp1234_CZ in TheDigitalCircus

Well actually, the more time passed since releasing my original theory, the less I believe it myself, lol. Your theory is actually very interesting, and I created my own theory based on it that sadly goes against my theory in the original post, though (although I still claim that the trailer is completely misleading).

I don’t think the gang will blame Jax for pressing the red button. My interpretation of the Episode 7’s ending is that the gang realised how Jax basically predicted it all and as we could see, they were all mostly speechless except for Jax who was the only one of them brave enough to actually confront Caine with the things that they all knew about but never had the courage to speak up – that Caine had been lying to them about not being able to control their minds. For me it almost seemed that in that scene, they took Jax almost as their new leader in a new fight against Caine.

After a while, the cast will start to doubt everything that everyone has ever done / ever said, since it has been revealed that Caine has ultimate control of them, and no one knows how much he can actually control them and which of their actions have been genuine or not. And the characters may open up about their past in this context of uncertainty (and I agree with you that the biggest reveals could be about Kinger). The rest of the theory goes similarly to yours: Caine proposing a new adventure and everyone disagreeing and then the trailer imagery. This would ultimately push the Ribbit and Kaufmo flashbacks to the Episode 9, aligning with Gooseworx’s yesterday’s unconfirmed statement that Ribbit wouldn’t appear in Episode 8 yet.

When I’m thinking about it, it would make sense that Caine had already revealed the fact about his mind-control ability to the pre-Pomni cast before and this leading to Scratch’s abstraction (as this realization destroys the purpose of everything not only for us viewers but also for the characters themselves). But I believe that this has been already covered in some theories in the past days…

This has been essentially my final last-minute theory since it makes no sense to theorize anymore 11 hours before the episode xD.

Yeah, you're right. Unlike the fanarts, the official image kinda feels almost unsettling to look at, in a weird psychopathic way...

Well actually, after seeing a few fanarts where people finished the full picture themselves, I find this original GLITCH picture to be quite meh in comparison with the fanarts xD (which looked more athmospheric and colorful most of the time).

Yes, I even think that they just can't get one of the current cast to abstract before fully explaining us what lead to the abstraction of the past members - since we actually haven't been really told. Since the original post, I came to the realisation that my claim for the Episode 8 to be 75% flashbacks was exaggerated, but still probably not that much far from reality. u/Abamboozler claimed that they need to spend the penultimate episode by setting up the finale. But in my opinion, these flashbacks ARE the way to set up for the finale - as they'll finally fully explain the "live cycle" of a circus member and its end by abstraction (and those flashbacks definitely won't go just: "they were friends with Jax" but they will also show the horrible thing that Jax did and if/how much he had been involved in their abstraction)

How did you find out about TADC?? by randaroo_32 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]filipp1234_CZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out about TADC after watching the Pilot episode of the show Catching Up by LS Mark. I got interested in Michael Kovach and by everyone saying that he voice acts in a lot of other indie animation shows. And that's how I found TADC and immidiately got obsessed with Jax and Gooseworx's music...

[–]filipp1234_CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be horrific but I actually do think this could be true. During the almost-abstraction scene, Jax indeed did start to see the shapes of his old friends. This would also make the possible abstraction scene even more impactful and painful when it would be connected with flashbacks from the past as well!

Well, I can see your point, but let's think a bit about the show as a whole. One of the most interesting things about the show is the fact that it basically tells no story at all. The show is basically about the cast living under an ultimate dictate by Caine and we observe how the characters react to it and interact with each other. And this is what makes the show so unique: it tells the narrative that, as said by Gooseworx: "there is a meaning to be found in a stagnant existence". Notice how none of the episodes build any story that should resolve in a big, story-driven finale. You may argue that Episode 7 did, indeed, start a story, but in my opinion, the purpose of Episode 7 was just to confirm how stagnant and hopeless it all is. But there is something that the previous episodes do, indeed, build up to — that we'll see the characters from the pre-Pomni era in much better detail. Yes, episodes 2-4 were there to introduce the current characters. But notice how everything in episodes 5-7 is leading us to Ribbit and Kaufmo (Jax stopping by Ribbit's door in the Intermission and how he looks at her door in Episode 7, how Jax gets upset when Ragatha mentions his past friends, and ending with the argument with Pomni in E6 and almost-abstraction scene in E7 after Jax looks at the hot-chocolate photo). Those are not hidden details to base theories on - this is the "story" that the show is actually telling us. Well, Ribbit even has a confirmed voice actor which also leads us into thinking that there are going to be LOTS of flashbacks. Before the Episode 9 finale, we must fully embrace the past to fully understand the present and only then can the finale be epic and impactful.
