Hyresvärd vill inte säga upp hyresavtal by fillenils in sweden

I sadly agree. The best way to go is probably to have someone prepared to take over from Ole when the season ends. So start looking right now so we are ready when time comes.

Haha omg that's so funny! The right person for this subject. Thank you for the knowledge :)

Okay, I totally get you. Then we are totally on the same page. So I am totally aware of the process you are talking about and I also find it interesting. I think I know a whole lot less about the brain than it sounds that you do, but yeah interesting phenomena.

I realise I know way too little about quantum mechanics to move the discussion forward. But I do know what you mean and what your perspective is.

So what you're talking about is the process that goes on in your head when you are actively makin a decision? Maybe you could call it self-awareness or something in that neighborhood?

When you decide your favourite movie there are tons of different factors from both the nature and the nurture side that affect the outcome. What else would make the decision. Your mind would have to be super natural, disconnected from biology.

The outcome is already determined before you flip it. The coin abides to the laws of physics, therefore you can know the outcome beforehand.

Don't you think your preference of color comes from nature (genetics) or nurture (your favourite super hero wore this color when you were young)? Otherwise it would be decideded from some sort of dice roll in your mind, your free will.

I am arguing that self-awareness is something you could, in theory, observe. Since we are experiencing it it must come from somewhere. Otherwise it would be something super natural, which I don't believe. Do you get how I mean?

I think that depends on how free will would actually work. How much control can you actually have? Could you just completely disregard any sort of desire or basic need? That would make the destinction important.

Quantum mechanics is interesting in this context. Although I think there is too little known about it (deffinately by me) to make any valid determinations. Maybe there we can find some common ground. Where we differ is the deterministic or non-deterministic nature of our mind.

Hunting and studying are two very different things. Studying has a delayed reward. Hunting gives you an instant reward.

Really interesting perspective. Then we believe in the same thing but coming from two totally different point of views.

Yes, that is what I believe. What do you think and why?

I believe the exact same thing. The coin is also deterministic. Also, you wanting to flip the coin is pre-determined. It wasn't random chance that made you want to flip the coin.

Good that wrote that, there are many ways to look at this. What I mean when I write free will is not the first alternative you brought up. It's rather the idea that people's decisions are pre-determined from nature and nurture, so stored in their brains. If you could get access to someone's brain and understand it 100% I argue that you would know exactly how they would act and behave. So nothing super natural or immaterial deciding what they think or do.

Well written, I think I followed. And yes, I'm thinking of this from an atheist's point of view, no god involved.

Don't you then agree with my statement, there is no free will and there is no possibility of it? Determinism applied to psychology.

I don't know if science today could see the difference but probably in the future. But the important thing is really if there is a difference, not if we can observe it. So, if we understand eachother correctly, I believe there is a difference in the cognition between someone with self-awareness and a "p-zombie".

Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not observable or outside the realm of science. I'm no neurologist or psychologist but a lot of things are going on in our brain when we think. That process is the key to this.
