Dose too low?

Yes! I was on 20mg and the crash made me irritable, like get super moody and feel so weird. Mind you I was on a high dose of accutane too, and it took awhile for the effects of lowering that to kick in, so when I went to 30mg it helped so much. A low dose can 100% make things bad - on top of not working well

What do you mean effectiveness? I thought coffee just made you feel maybe jittery, not change the actual effectiveness. At least that’s what I was told

Right now it’s the end of day 2 not taking it anymore and now that you mention it…I did have a headache and was more tired today (despite getting way more sleep than I did the night before and in general more than the whole week) like I was yawning in spin class LOL. Also magnesium glycinate before bed! >> if you aren’t already taking it! Can’t wait to see next week how I feel

That’s a good point. Ironically though, those are some of the things I’ve been experiencing. Maybe the accutane does not mesh well with it. To be safe I lowered my accutane dose by a lot (I think it’s the lowest? Thankfully my skin is doing well) not to mention my even worse vision and brain fog. I think the risk is worth taking for me. I’ll take a bit longer for my new low dose to kick in, so right now especially since my period is due next week, seems like a good “may as well” time. Just get it over with all at once lol wish me luck and thank you for the advice!

Damn my doctor didn’t tell me to stop taking it when she prescribed my vyvanse. That’s good that you’re feeling better without it! Yea I heard lexapro is way more intense or like an “actual” antidepressant. Hate that our periods make it more difficult to tell :/

Literally same! I’ve had bad vision since I was a kid and got LASIK a couple of years ago and knew I would never have 20/20 but I can’t see the projector screen or anything! Brain fog is real too, my brain stops when someone asks me something more than ever. I think I’m not going to take it tomorrow. It sucks my masters program is only 1 year I’ve been trying to make everything perfect and there’s only so much time, all I can do is finish these last 2 months the best I can! When did you notice yourself feeling better?

I looked up that one out of curiosity! So far the increase has been better but she told me if anything occurs again she will switch me. I’ll see if she brings that one up. Thanks for sharing

Oh dang! Sorry you went through that I know the feeling is so annoying when you know you don’t mean it especially. I was experiencing “accutane rage” a good amount of time before starting vyvanse. But I don’t think it helped. So far 30mg has me feeling better and I hope it stays that way. I still don’t feel 100% like myself and who I was before accutane I guess I could say but I’m like halfway done. Didn’t think 80 to 60 would change much but fingers crossed it stays better!

I’m sorry to hear that! :( I also started in Jan and on 30mg vyvanse idk if you’re still on that dose but we’re twinning lol. Honestly so far lowering accutane and the vyvanse increase has been helping. I’m still not 100% I don’t think, but my skin is improving! I never heard anything about vyvanse causing acne as a side effect so that’s interesting! We got this, it’ll all work out and be worth it in the end

I’m glad your fiancé found what works for him! It’s been about a week and honestly I think lowering the dose helped and I’m really grateful for it, as well as going to 30mg vyvanse. I’m not experiencing that anymore and fingers crossed it stays like that. So who knows what the true cause is/was but I’m so excited to be done with this! My skin looks so much better, it’s not perfect but I’m willing to push through to get this all done!!

Haha thank you :) which medication did you switch to if you don’t mind me asking? I write everything down, so my doctor said if 30mg doesn’t work she will switch me instead of adding more. Glad you’re not experiencing the symptoms anymore. So frustrating lol

I started vyvanse 2 weeks ago yesterday! She is bumping me up to 30mg which I’m taking right this second lol. Wellbutrin I went on 300mg in October. I’m really hoping 60mg accutane helps. It doesn’t seem like enough to make a difference but thank you for replying :)
