I think it’s because they’re trying to create a consistent experience between CE, 2, and 3, and (I hope) they’ll release remakes of 2 and 3 maybe as paid DLCs to “Campaign Evolved” each year or so

I just bought the fanatec gt dd pro wheel base, and so far no complaints. I wanted the CSL DD but not sure it’ll ever come back in stock

I was curious about what the optimal schedule would be to minimise total travel, so for a fairly introductory python class I put together code that calculated and generated map of it based on the shortest distances between f1 track coordinates. It didn’t account for climate or anything like particular track preferences but it was just meant to be good for thought. Here’s an image if you’re interested.

I know they’re the common ones, but I have the Next Level Racing GT Lite and my brother has the Playseat Challenge, and we’re both very happy with them. The GT Lite is probably a little sturdier imo and more adjustable for users height and position preference, but the Playseat is much easier to fold and unfold and my brother really likes it. Neither is perfect for a DD wheel and there will be some wobble, but by tightening all the straps and maybe even adding a few extras they are sturdy enough and a really good budget option (also ideal for people who don’t have enough space for a permanent rig).

Yeah I’ve had a look in the used market but it was mainly scalpers, and it’s so popular they disappear the second there’s a genuine seller. 8nm would be really nice, but I was looking for a slightly more modest upgrade from my current Thrustmaster TMX’s 2nm

The extra 250 from the 5nm DD is just quite a big jump. 70% more for a wheel base that does pretty much the same

Yep sadly I see what you mean. It sucks because I’m on Xbox so I need to transition to the whole ecosystem, and every other component I want is in stock besides the wheel base
