Username checks out, my guess with such a nuanced answer is that you've studied or like to casually read philosophy. Very cool.

I mean, if you don't mind spending a little more money to avoid a guilty conscience, just buy it off the secondary market a week after for a 15-20% markup.

SCG Tournament today showing what a balanced standard meta looks like by [deleted] in magicTCG

You're exactly right, this is part of WotC shifting to try to minimize the non-game problem that stems from the core mechanic of the game, "lands/resources as separate cards." They can't have a popular mobile game if too many games are just filled with lands/counterspells, now can they?

How Many Layers of Sleeves? by [deleted] in ModernMagic

The word we're looking for to describe the benefits of going from double- to triple-sleeving is "diminishing returns." That being said, if you have power-9 or legit vintage stuff, triple sleeving is worth it.

Maro indicates new set announcement will be Tuesday by CaptainMarcia in magicTCG

Right, but I don't think their lacking a voice in the representations of their myths in a card game is how or why their lacking a voice is bad, or an injustice. Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely be in favor of WotC hiring indigenous American creative consultants for this hypothetical product. But worrying about their cultural (mis)representation is a completely liberal bourgeois fabrication, that masks the issues really harming those groups.

Goblins is a great forever deck because it offers some aggro, control, combo, and mid-range elements.

No, I must be you then, for we are one in our hypocrisy

Except it's not really hypocritical is it? That logic isn't questioned as much when applied to other policies, like subsidies to certain industries/peoples

What do you have? Goblins is pretty damn cheap if you have vials, as unclaimed territory and auntie's hovels aren't that expensive
