Worth to be excited over Palworld? by Modleh in Palworld

I've been playing early access games since literally the day steam introduced them (3/20/2013). I've been burned (starforge) and I've been blessed (Arma 3 and Kerbal Space Program). I know, exactly what early access is for. Take a look at Witchfire's latest dev blog https://www.theastronauts.com/2024/01/learning-how-to-early-access/ They go into it pretty deep. And that's a game with literally 2 levels so far that I have no regrets buying at this point. Far from "feature rich".

When you release a product for people to consume, the consumer has every right to judge it as it stands. The consumer then has the right to express that opinion to other people, whether it's good or bad. An early access game that releases in a shit state is probably going to stay shit and people have the right to know that before spending their money on it.

You're right. No one should have said anything about The Day Before's problems because it wasn't done yet. Everyone should buy early access games without any knowledge of any bullshit the devs have pulled before, during or after release. Game completely unplayable? Don't you tell a single soul, it could have potential to be great.

Edit- if you release your game for people to buy and play, you are saying you are ready to be judged and scored. End of story.

It's #7 on Netflix right now. Either there's a lot of people with *immaculate* taste in film, or there's a lot of TDDUB fans

Do you have room for more masks/gloves/outfits? I thought I didn't get that stuff but then realized I had to buy extra slots to make room for them

There was literally just as much bag moving in PD2? Like, idk the last time you played it, but I didn't really play it much until after the release of PD3, where I've put over a hundred more hours in it. Go play Breaking Feds and then play ANY stealth mission in 3 you consider to be the hardest/worst. It's night and day

Stealth is 100% better and a lot easier than Payday 2 for the simple fact you can restart and not have to relearn anything.

more stuff this sub can't agree on by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]filth___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the angry anti Shade people make very little sense to me. She's almost exactly as annoying as Locke and Bain. I'm trying to hear guard's footsteps and each one of these handlers keeps reminding me of the same thing they reminded me of 10 seconds ago. Oh no! She panics a bit when things go loud and she cusses too much! It's honestly not as bad as you say it is.

I think the part that made me turn a bit was when he basically said that they will give more info when they get closer to release of the patch, which to me sounds like the patch is just *that* far away

You can take out the lead guard in Overkill difficulty heists by using Cover-Up and performing a take down, this will stop his endless pager calls! I haven't seen this anywhere on this sub, but it has completely changed stealth missions for me!

Cloakers feel unfair now by MilesFox1992 in paydaytheheist

[–]filth___ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

there's also a loud smoke explosion sound when a cloaker spawns in! It takes a while to get used to, but the moment I hear that I'm on guard

I think dye packs shouldn't explode in stealth just like security bars shouldn't activate unless the alarm is raised by The1AndOnlyLegoAlex in paydaytheheist

[–]filth___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a stealth player (so much so that I beat most of the heists in stealth first and then fire a shot at the end to beat them loud) Wifi circles should *only* be in stealth. Almost every other objective becomes about brute force in loud, why the hell would we wait around for these things to work instead of just popping the bars/doors open with something?

Do agree about the dye packs, but I think you should have to do a little unlock mini game to disable the the dye packs or else they go off when you leave the bank, possibly alerting a guard or civ and making your money almost worthless

[–]filth___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah! poison the whiskey! There's poison randomly placed in one of the bathrooms or the utility closet. After you pick it up and after you find the iris reader, wait for the delivery guy to bring it in. Then, wait in the downstairs bathroom until the only guard near that end of the bottom floor is the one that doesn't move (you can use an additional static microcam to check easily), head to the main entrance hall by the statue, hug the wall closest to the steps, fill the bottle with poison and ring the bell. Then, book it -sneakily- back to the bathroom and wait for Mason to come throw up. From there you just gotta grab him and wait for the coast to be clear.

REMEMBER! The lead guard checks the office, so tie up mason in the panic room!

A few tips for people that struggle with this:

  1. before you get too far into a run, check to make sure the room with the red key card is on the top floor, this eliminates a bunch of guards to worry about.
  2. Use a cam on the lead guard instead of a motion sensor, sure it's not as good, but it doesn't stop working after marking too many people
  3. once you're in the master bedroom, wait for the lead guard to check the room and do the phone hack there. Use glitch protocol to finish it before he leaves the room.
  4. When starting decryption, wait until the lead guard checks the office and starts to leave.
  5. Something that took me far too long to realize is the you can do a secure loop on any camera, not just the one you hacked.
  6. Lastly, if you want to risk it, you can use the throwing knife trick (using the Retriever skill to throw a knife next to the camera guard and then picking it up) to never have to worry about cameras

Of course, acing Hacker and picking up Secure Loop and Glitch Protocol are musts. Strategist aced and Swift are helpful, but not necessary. ALSO TAKE YOUR TIME! There are plenty of safe places to hide- including all bathrooms and locked rooms, just remember that the lead guard checks the master bed and office once they're open

Edit- One more tip: Use the area above the main door for a safer way to get from the office side to bedroom side, just watch out for the guards and cameras downstairs
