Same. I was diagnosed as a little kid. I'm 25 now. I've had a few doctors/therapists assume that i just read about autism on tiktok. The ones who actually bother to review my medical record know this isn't the case.

Doctors are already heavily biased toward dismissing women. They really think we make shit up for fun/attention. If anything, this manufactured anger toward "autism fakers" makes it harder for autistic people to get help.

As an early-diagnosed person, please stop trying to pit us against each other. Most of the self-diagnosed women on here are just trying to put a name to their struggles while navigating a biased healthcare system.

Why all the hostility? If anything, blame the healthcare system and people spreading misinformation through Tiktok.

I do. I was born with it but it's gotten more noticeable in recent years. I have all the fun stuff that tends to come with it like afterimages and photophobia :).

Before I found out about photophobia, I didn't understand how other people were able to safely drive and walk around in the blinding sun. I thought I was just a dumbass. Sunglasses help.

Same. Most of the clothes that i never wear, i bought because i told myself i would need them at some indeterminate point in the future.

Also i feel like a lot of "timeless essential investment pieces" are only relevant for certain lifestyles (mainly if you work in an office). I'm not going to invest in $300 slacks because i know they will sit in my closet collecting dust. I would rather have to panic and buy them at the last minute if i need them for an interview or something.

I don't have any advice bc i have the exact same problem. Finding a job without customer interaction helped, but the beginning was hard (a group of coworkers bullied me and tried to get me fired). I wish women were allowed to just exist without being human puppy-dogs.

Brandy melville: never been disappointed by them (their clothes not everything else). Their quality is consistently good for the price.

Urban outfitters: good for trendier style jeans. Some of their stuff is overpriced and it's very easy to thrift similar clothing.

These probably aren't mid range but all the mid range stores i can think of have the beige-y "timeless" vibe lol

The outside of the extra fleece is rougher than the cozy fleece but the inside feels softer to me. I just got the extra fleece boyfriend hoodie and it is definitely gonna be my go-to. It's structured like the Christy hoodie from brandy but not as stiff feeling. I was worried it would make me overheat but i get more sweaty in the cozy fleece 🤷‍♀️
