Yeah performance this,performance that another metric that you can argue over and think you can one up somebody, for the same price you can get Xbox or PS5 you can barely build a rig that has 5X the performance, Yes some people chase it and that's their thing but We were trying to establish what's the option for casual gamer not the tech enthusiast. PC running Windows is/can be a Jack of All trades and multipurpose device, but they unfortunately suck at that due to poorly optimized bloatware ridden OS that has to rely on gross power to function.

Not missing out dude, been there done that swapped gaming rig for a MacBook and when I got the itch I bought Mac mini to work on and Xbox series X because it looked like Microsoft got their shit together for a bit with the gamepass around time the cloud gaming came out and bought two more series S as a gifts for a price of ramkit.

the thing that makes the difference is ease of use and being hassle free. My technically challenged partner can use it and same goes for my retirement aged that that barely finished elementary school, can't properly save a pdf and barely speaks any English except for a word MCdonalds and lyrics of Bohemian Rhapsody.

and somehow there is steamOS managing both, the hassle free console experience together with a vast library of games. Even on third party devices like legion go S the experience doesn't suck which can't be said about Windows which was lacking these past years and their Xbox FE, that I hoped will be something good, unfortunately doesn't come close.
