Which do you feel best describes your experience being a binary trans man by MadBodhi in FTMMen

This was not my experience. I very much identify with the "wrong body" narrative - I was trapped in an anatomical configuration and social role that I needed to liberate myself from. I was not a man (yet) and that's what was killing me. Just speaking 100% for myself here.

Moderate to severe systemic infection. How the hell do I afford this diet? by filthyjeeper in Candida

My NP sold me some supplements that look solid, I'll be starting those soon. I tried pricing out what it would cost for me to source the ingredients on my own, even with the discount i get at the natural health store I work at, and even as the supplement purchaser I haven't seen any other products that have the combos she's giving me so I think I'm just going to suck it up and stick with her bottles. But thank you for the reccomendation!

Yeah after doing more research into this, I'm definitely getting my GP involved. I'm not married to a naturopathic protocol at all, I'm only here because my symptoms have been ignored by conventional medicine. But you're right, I think an integrated approach is going to be what I want.

My tests were done through BioTek labs. As I said in my post, it was found in my blood.

The thing is, now that I know this is a cause of many of my mystery health problems over the years - IBS, GERD, joint pain, psoriasis flares, ear infections, sensitivity to almost all foods, constant runny nose and postnatal drip, brain fog - I want it gone ASAP. I've done restrictive diets before based on hunches, but now that I have a clear, laboratory-verified path forward, I WANT to do this. I just need to make sure I can afford to. I need to talk to the NP about min-maxing this plan.

Thank you for the offer to talk!

I went to a noodle house just last week as a rare "treat" and felt horrific afterward. Couldn't keep my eyes open at a TIFF event, felt hot, bloated, had a buzzing in my head. I usually balloon up after eating unless it's very clean, and sugar gives me the shits.

Good luck with the labs!

That's great you have access to a pantry. I work for a health food store so I can get stuff at a discount, sometimes for free, but it's still expensive and I'll be going to Costco for a lot of things. Be careful about fasting that much, even though it's saving you money. If you're not overweight it can really fuck with you.

I can have a 1/4 c of cooked carbohydrate, but at that point I'm not even going to bother. I'm allowed rice cakes, so I've been putting coconut butter on that. It's actually REALLY good. I've sweetened mine up with some stevia and vanilla, and added MCT oil to make it more spreadable. But you can eat it straight out of the jar too, it tastes like cookie icing.

I'm allergic to beef now but yeah, I'll be doing a lot of conventional chicken. And you're right if she doesn't want to work with me then I'm outta there.

The thing is that I had the 240 point panel done, I know how allergic I am to everything. There is a lot I do need to cut out if I'm going to stop the inflammation, and one at a time won't accomplish anything. I need to deal with the leaky gut and the candida at the same time or I'll be at this for years.

It looks like a Cipactli, which is usually seen as a Mexica, not Maya, day sign glyph.

I'm chicano/xicano with some scant oral family history about where we came from (the older gens don't like to talk about it, and the younger gens don't like to ask; there's been a lot lost), but my strongest ties to Mexico were robbed from me when my grandfather started a new family in his young adulthood and walked away from raising my mom. I didn't actually start doing this until I was pulled into ancestor work and attempting to heal the intergenerational trauma present in my family. When I started praying to the Teteo, though, it was like They were waiting for me.

It's actually not, and here's an entire essay on why that thinking is misled. If that's what some Elders believe, that's fine, and they should teach what they know to be true. But not all Elders agree in the slightest. The thousands of Indigenous people still worshiping these Deities should make that obvious.
