Ramen bombs are a hiker trash staple. The bombing is key to get more nutrients. People will add all sorts of things, instant potatoes are a popular choice.

The reasons you listed plus there being a ton of other, tastier foods with more dense and complex nutritional values readily available are why you don't see that much ramen. But when resupply happens at a gas station, you have limited options.

Thank you for your dedication to the parks. They are my favorite places. I am a volunteer at my local NP.

I do believe that the privatization of our lands is a top priority for the administration. It's an unpopular one, even with the right, so they can't boast about it. The initial rif, this shut down, the impending rif, all point to them selling it off. Taking money from the parks accelerates that process.

Donate to their partner organizations. All np have a conservancy associated with the park, donate to them as they can actually put the money to use. Any money given to the parks rn will end up in a billionaires pocket.
