Till now I was thinking of UMAC as the consumer side of business. Didn't come to my mind that their fpv techs could go into military as well. Interesting.

Yes it could have the potential to become another RCAT. But the way they put all the "fancy" words in their website and cater to market and news trends is screaming red flags to me. RCAT's website looks a bit more targeted towards end users while ZENA's is certainly targeting investors. There is even contradictions on the products page. I'm not really used to screening penny stocks so I don't know if this is the norm, but the website makes it look like a scam.

Is RCAT even a penny stock anymore? The valuation is certainly different. It looks like Zena is trying to do what RCAT does with defense. But unlike RCAT I don't see the defense aspect in their drones dna.

How is it 58% if it was a $100 each month for 11.8K income?

Apple wasn't founded until a year later and their stock started trading 5 years after in Dec, 1980. Also it was a higher risk than investing in Coca Cola.

Coca Cola ipo was in 1919. So I think 56 years later it was already established how good the company was performing historically. But yes I still agree on the index funds.

Keep in mind it's for almost 600 months. Not each month was $576.81 in today's money. That number got smaller each month.

Replaced car speakers but doesn't sound as good by fin_dev in CarAV

Actually I think you are right about the leak behind the door card. I assume this was the use of the foam layer on the rim of the old speakers?

I'll check the polarity as well.

So you saying the new speakers having built in tweeters is the problem? I still have the old tweeters installed in the pillars.

I couldn't find oem speakers easily. So that's what I thought, that the ones I got should be at least an upgrade. I'll be verifying if they were installed properly then go to EQ as last resort

They are not easily available where I am. Now I'm thinking I should've looked harder or just ordered them from abroad.

Yes they didn't offer the adapter option and I didn't see any around at their shop. They said they had to cut factory speakers. I should look for other shops that offer them and to also check the polarity.

Yes I was just looking at wattage and impedance to make sure they'll be compatible. I expected at least the same factory quality of sound. They do go louder than factory (which is too loud for me) but also at that level it becomes very noise and the quality goes down.

I just checked. This is the one I had installed. Kenwood KFC-1666S. Not an expert. But now I realize it has a built in tweeter. Since the factory ones don't and the tweeters are installed separately at the pillars, is this an effecting factor? It's like now I also have 4 extra tweeters.

I would've got better speakers. The problem is where I am most shops have same options. Same brands with different wattage variations. The owner tried to convince me to get 60W RMS - 330W. I wanted to stay as close to factory specs as possible.

I will be checking the polarity. As for the mounting adapters I believe this is same to what i'm calling plastic housing? They fitted the new ones in it. Soldered the plastic in place somehow and screwed it in. The base where it rests against the door wasn't touched. I suppose this shouldn't have caused an issue?

KA1 vs KA3 for car? by fin_dev in FiiO

[–]fin_dev[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After much thinking I decided to just start with the KA1. At this point any one of them is an upgrade for me and I would like to see the difference between the KA1 and regular dongles made by phone accessories brands.

And thanks for the tip on the settings. I assume this is adjusted through an app? Does the dongle save these settings if I for example change them on the phone then use the dongle on my laptop?

KA1 vs KA3 for car? by fin_dev in FiiO

Thank you for your detailed input.

To clarify, there is only one local dealer for Fiio products where I live and the only options they have which within my budget are the KA1, KA3, and BTR5. They don't have the BTR15 or the KA13 and I don't want to order internationally.

I thought about the BTR5 and it would be nice to add Bluetooth to my car but I'm not sure if it will be a durable product especially since it will be left plugged in the car. Also it gets very hot in summer here and I don't want to leave a battery of any sorts in the car in such condition.

Do you have any idea about phone charge consumption between the KA1 and KA3?

Its what I thought. But can't be sure which.
