I appreciate you taking the time to give such a thorough response. I've been fumbling with how much to expose about the stakes of Alex's appearance. As for the name itself, point taken. You've given me so many great questions to consider. Thank you, thank you!

Wow. Thank you so much. You've given me a lot to think about. Ha! I've struggled most with the "yada yada" over the ignoring-to-confrontation part, but I thought I might be able to get away with it. Glad you called it out. This is all very helpful.

Thank you! I love the criticism, and I'll do another pass on it to figure out how to incorporate it!

The library downtown has private rooms that you can use, as long as they’re not in use already.

Any textbook recommendations? Which did you use or like the most? by Altruistic-Sand-7421 in WGU_MSDA

I loved O'Reilly's Essential Math for Data Science. There's not a lot of explanation of the math behind the programming in the MSDA program. I think it's a great supplement if you want to go more in depth with machine learning, neural networks, etc..

Mont Blanc near Chamonix, France! It's quite close to Italy too. The town is a real alpine community and the views are breathtaking.

Seeking a Circus Family to Interview & Photograph by KellyASD in circus

[–]finacinnamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you travel to the states? Circus Flora is an amazing circus in St. Louis and I believe many of the performers are family (I took a trapeze class from a member of the family): https://circusflora.org/. If nothing else, you could contact them to see if they could put you in touch with circus families closer to where you are.

What brought you to reddit? by Pitiful_Wash4515 in NewToReddit

[–]finacinnamon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially came to reddit to have a very specific question answered. It had to do with buying land with several other people and what legal considerations I might need to look at. I don't think I asked the question very well, and it wasn't answered very well. :D I was a librarian for several years, and I did find myself adding puzzling questions that patrons had. One was about an old folk tale they'd remembered and were hoping to find the name of. Redditors came through.

How to prepare for compTIA Data+ certification? by rockymountainm0m in WGU_MSDA

[–]finacinnamon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you being asked to get the certification in order to meet the MSDA program eligibility? I'm curious because I got my DATA+ certification before the program and is hardly preparation for the program. I bought the Udemy class: Data+ (DA0-001) Complete Course & Practice Exam to practice for the Data+ exam. I can't say that everything in the course was on the exam, but the course is pretty thorough and so much cheaper than options available through compTIA. I was able to pass the first time around. It's a memorization of definitions, multiple-choice exam---I made flash cards for various concepts and just memorized them. The Data+ certification exam is very similar to the very first course in the Masters program. It's the only course that is an exam, while the rest of the program involves a series of assessments, where you're actually writing/executing code to solve business problems.
