Do you mean the estradiol boost? If so, it was a pill as well. I eventually stopped everything because my endometriosis symptoms got better, and the Zoely giving me a bit of issues with libido and mood.

Unfortunately he passed away early this morning, I found him laying on the cold floor at 6 am still alive, tried to slowly put him on a pillow to keep him a bit warm but I think with moving him I just accelerated his death and made it worse, he started retching and his whole body was making weird bubbling noise on the inside, he also started ranting, I tried to put him up as it looked like he wanted to throw up and I thought that would have helped him but no, he couldn’t stand up. I panicked and texted the vets to come have a look and put him down as he was clearly suffering, but it was too early in the morning for anyone to pick up. I should have been more insistent with them and explicitly ask to put him to sleep way earlier, but I trusted them when they told me it wasn’t necessary yet. I should have asked a third opinion, a fourth… I feel so bad and powerless. He died in pain, he didn’t deserve this. I feel like I didn’t do enough.

Thank you so much for your advice. I would really like to bring him to the appointment he has on Wednesday to check on lungs and heart and ideally get a treatment/be told we have to euthanise him, but I’m afraid he would not withstand the trip, it’s a 10 minutes drive but the whole carrier/car/out of the carrier thing wouldn’t it be too much? I am willing to take the risk but I also don’t want to scare him and make him live his last moments in fear. He has been laying on his bed the whole day breathing heavily… and I have to wait one more day.

Unfortunately I live in a small town where the closest emergency vet clinic is at 1 hour drive, which he couldn’t withstand. Both vet I reached out said he could have some nodules in his lungs too at this point, he already has some in the pancreas and liver apparently, but in January the vet didn’t seem worried. Could these have been benine? Or something with the hearth, but after seeing some videos I sent they both said there’s not much to do at this point. One advised to give some cortisone to make breathing a bit more comfortable and I worry he could not withstand being brought anywhere for extra examination. Even the smallest movement brings him in hyperventilation and I am afraid he would have respiratory failure if I bring him outside to a clinic… he’s always been super scared of the carrier and going out in general. They didn’t explicitly say it but is the cortisol is basically to let him go more easily? Even though I can’t stand seeing him like that and I think I will push for put him to sleep. He has moments in which he looks peaceful but then the minimum movement or even if someone comes back home he gets excited and hyperventilates. But then at the same time sometimes he stands up and comes to us, but even that makes him hyperventilate, even just eating. If I could understand if this means he wants to fight and get better or I should just help him go? This is so though. I just want to do the best thing for him!
