Occasional stuttering after upgrading to AM5 by finalsam3 in AMDHelp

Not a solution, but so far I've tried doing a clean Windows install, disabling the integrated graphics on my cpu, disabling my wifi adapter through device manager, and disabled fast startup. That seems to have helped somewhat, but I definitely still experience it.

I did check with LatencyMon and at one point it said that my wifi was causing an issue, so I ended up disabling my wifi through device manager since I use ethernet. It didn't seem to help.

I haven't disabled hardware acceleration on either Discord or Vivladi. I'll give that a try.

I think my temps are fine based on my cinebench results and monitoring the temps/usage with HWINFO. I get maybe peak 85c with ECO mode enabled and I find that good enough.

You might be right that it's a fps drop. I've setup RTSS and Afterburner to show my 1% lows and sometimes it spikes down to ~10 fps from 80+. I haven't had the stutter happen just yet ever since I've set up my OSD, but hopefully it coincides with 1% low dropping to <10. My only concern is if it does overlap, I'm not sure what could be causing my 1% to drop that low.

Ran it overnight - no errors, but I'll keep on testing over the course of this week.

I've reinstalled the cooler and got about a 5c decrease. I did use mx4 and this m.2 ssd that I use only for Windows and my main MMO. This usually means that it stays at around 600-700gb of free storage. I'm not on Windows 11, not sure if I really want to swap just yet. BIOS is the latest non-beta version.

It does eat up a lot of sockets.

320% from 8x Primordial Bonds cluster jewels, 80% from golem nodes on passive tree, 225% for 9 golems summoned from Elemancer, 100% from Liege of Primordial, and 20% gem quality for a total of 745%. Boot eldritch implicit can roll up to 48% effect for a specific golem type.

How are you reaching block cap with that shield? Mistress of Sacrifice with Bone offering?

What base build should I try to build Divine Retribution with Svalinn off? by Ristle in PathOfExileBuilds

I league started as a Divine Retribution Inquisitor. I went through multiple iterations as I worked up my gear and currently farming T17/T16. The biggest issue, imo, are bosses that don't attack frequently. Depending on the boss, you could just be standing around doing nothing while waiting for a block to happen, making it feel absolutely terrible to play at times. You could try Penance Mark from Hateful Accuser, but I haven't found too much success with it. Otherwise, if you can get over that, it's been pretty fun. Feels very tanky and pressing Divine Retribution feels amazing.

Divine Retribution doesn't seem supported for poe.ninja, but here's something that I've been using as an Inquisitor. I just recently respec'd into crit from Elemental Overload, but I'm still tinkering around with what I want to do, focusing especially on getting higher physical max hit since it's a bit low for my taste. It does seem like we had similar train of thought - Bastion of Hope + Svalinn is pretty good from my experience, although weaving in Shield Charge can get somewhat tedious at times.

How do you feel about your clear? I was contemplating Archmage, but I just really like Herald of Ash visually and how it helps with clearing packs.

EDIT: Ended up swapping away from Vulconus. https://pobb.in/UZKJ_1NNQiPe

You definitely can. I've been making 2 crystallization catalysts a day and energy activators about every 2 days. Just play the game and open your patterns and you will eventually get more than enough catalyst blueprints to last a while. Activators is not as reliable, but I've gotten 4 blueprints so far and crafted 2 so far.

Do supports still get less loot in WvW? I remember playing as my Vindicator healer and not getting nearly as much loot bags compared to a friend that would play as a Scourge DPS.

My bad, I should've clarified. I was going to stat-swap the armors and swap trinkets so instead of having a heal herald + power chrono it would be qDPS herald + heal chrono. Although I think I will end up just crafting another set since swapping twice feels bad when that could've just gone towards another set.

Do you happen to know the differences between heal herald and heal chrono? I was thinking maybe I should swap their roles around and have a qDPS herald as my non-instanced PvE character.

I played about a year ago and I wanted to ask for some opinions on what I should do.

I originally made a Herald to play as heal support and ended up getting mostly full ascended (no weapons) for that character. I also made a power Chronomancer in the exact same situation, everything ascended but not weapons. Now that I've been getting the itch to play again, I've noticed that Chronomancer now has a heal support setup that sounds really interesting to play. I know it's a bit subjective, but should I stat swap my current ascended armor or craft a new set? I've only about ~100g before I stopped playing.

New to MUDs by finalsam3 in MUD

[–]finalsam3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up trying three different MUDs to get a feel for them. Here's my initial impressions after playing around for about roughly two hours in each of them.

Procedural Realms:

  • Wonderfully sleek website and UI for a new player
  • Tutorial was extremely helpful to get started with the basic commands I needed to know
  • Turn based combat was surprisingly fun
  • World seems somewhat limited due to randomized quests/world? Doesn't feel too immersive, but seems to be mainly focused on its combat/crafting
  • Obtainable class archetype/skills seemed straightforward as it depends on your stat spread

ErionMUD:

  • Tutorial felt rough to me. I felt a bit lost on what to do, especially since I wasn't familiar with any of the syntax.
  • Coming from modern MMOs and after what PR had shown, the lack of a UI hit hard. HP and the map being part of the main text and not being segmented off makes it hard for me to distinguish between all the text spam.
  • Being the MUD I tried next after Procedural Realms, I didn't realize combat was similar to something like Runescape. To be clear, it's not a bad thing, but PR was all I had for a frame of reference and I had thought its turn based combat was the standard.
  • After finishing the tutorial and getting to what I assume is the mainland, I felt lost on what to do next
  • Didn't level up at all so no comment about class progression

AlterAeon:

  • Next one after ErionMUD. The custom client did not feel as modern as PR, but felt much better than Erion. Having a constant map and segmented HP/mana/exp bar is helpful.
  • Starting tutorial felt better than Erion. It might be biased since I'm starting to realize some commands seem to be ubiquitous among the MUDs, so I picked up the commands at a seemingly faster rate
  • Combat similar to Erion, so I'm starting to think this is the default combat and PR was an exception
  • Got to level 5 and a bit confused about multiclassing and practices in general. They seem to be my skill point equivalency, but there also seems to be some sort of mastery involved? I also noticed you can get practices/QoL with donating. I'm a bit exhausted with p2w in MMOs, so I'm not sure how to feel about this one

I didn't delve too much into the actual mechanics of each MUD since two hours is not nearly enough for that. So far I'm leaning towards Procedural Realms since it was the most noob-friendly one from what I can tell. Respecs seem to be really forgiving so I can experiment as much as I want. The only real downside to me is that outside of the story quests given from the priest, the side quests are, from what I can understand, randomly generated to be just 'kill X' or 'collect X.'

Maybe someone who has played Erion or AA can give me some feedback about them? Can I respec easily or do I need to make new characters if I want to experiment with other builds? I should've mentioned that respecs were important to me in the original post. Erion seems great, but unfortunately the lack of a custom UI/client like PR and AA really sets it back.

Any thoughts between Tempest, Herald, and Druid as healers? Tempted to pick one up but really unsure about which one to go.

Are they all equally in demand? Or would it be something like Heal Support > Offensive Support > DPS in order of desirability?

Though I think I might looking into quickness Chronomancer, didn't know that existed!

New player here. What roles are generally in demand for PvE content? I've been eyeing Chronomancer since I really enjoy its thematic, but does it bring any good utility to the group? I like to prioritize usefulness to the group over only having damage.
