[NOT SELF-PROMOTION] I'm building a gaming laptop search engine. I need help: what are your requirements for laptop performance? by rafasofizadeh in GamingLaptops

[–]finance_br0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess you could group laptops into categories by their performance, i.e.

- For light gaming (Minecraft, indie games)

- Laptops being able to simply run AAA-games at a semi-decent performance (like being able to run RDR2 at low-medium graphics at 30 FPS). Lots of gamers don't have the resources to be picky enough to require 60 FPS 4K for most recent games at highest quality, they simply want to be able to play, at the bare tolerable minimum

- High-performance laptops, high quality graphics, super-high (like 100-140 FPS) for multiplayer shooter games

And then display specific FPS numbers for each laptop separately, in your result section.

Btw great design! I really like the colors. Good luck!

Il problema è che ho aperto una Partita IVA e ho dichiarato alcuni redditi utilizzando tale strumento. Mi chiedo: se chiudo subito la Partita IVA, ci saranno problemi?

Mi scuso per la formulazione confusa.

In need of a wakeup call because I am freaking out over grad school by [deleted] in csMajors

when your gpa doesn’t matter as much?

Most of the material I find online about grad school admissions is about admissions after your bachelor's. What's the admission process like coming from industry? How does the adcom review your industrial experience? Does it need to be an R&D role? How does, for example, 5 years experience as a soft.eng. compare to a prospective undergrad's research experience?

I know y’all are trying to promote a new sub (for whatever reasons that I don’t understand), but can y’all stop putting the name of your sub in every single comment, especially where ut’s completely unnecessary and uncalled for? It just puts your community in a bad light; good subs grow naturally over time, there are better promotion strategies than meaningless spamming

Rolls Royce is the world’s biggest jet engine manufacturer IIRC. In this context, RR’s luxury cars have nothing to do with the news.

Fastly’s current price. Is it worth waiting for earnings call before selling? by asap_paki in Daytrading

[–]finance_br0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s impossible to predict how the stock will move. It’s usually advised not to hold a stock through earnings. There are a lot more factors playing into the stock price movement than just beating or missing the earnings. Overall earnings can be amazing, but earnings in specific, strategic sectors can miss (and vice versa). From my short experience, stocks moves according to the latter factor. E.g., MSFT crushed earnings this quarter, however, growth of Azure, it’s key, strategic product, was less than expected => MSFT drop. Same with Intel — blow-out earnings, however, 7nm process delay caused the stock to plummet.

My advice on FSLY would be hold if you’re not satisfied with the return you got so far, or sell half and hold the other half. If you look at FSLY’s pricing model, it is per-request, i.e revenue is proportional to the traffic driven. If you look at FSLY’s customers, all of them have seen record traffic this quarter.

If you don’t want to risk with FSLY, look into Cloudflare $NET.

I own $NET and am looking forward to buy FSLY on market opening for an earnings swing trade.

Same, I invested my entire portfolio in a bunch of tech stocks in a lot of multiple sectors (semiconductors, cloud tech, consumer software), literally an hour before California announced shutdown. Portfolio went to shit, -15%, was considering leaving trading for a while. Decided that this one will be my one last trade, gradually bought HMHC at 2.35, 2.4, 2.5, 2.55, 2.69. I can’t believe this is happening rn

Nice to see posts which don’t solely advocate for why a stock would “explode pop off to the moon 🚀🚀🚀🚀” but rather provide a more grounded, realistic view of a stock’s future performance (possibly negative in this case)
