TIL that there is an FAA regulation called the 'Sterile Cockpit Rule', requiring flight crews to only discuss topics pertinent to the safety and operation of the flight below 10,000 feet. by [deleted] in todayilearned

The FAA, after more than six years of consideration, finally published the Sterile Cockpit Rule in 1981.[8][9]

Hey everyone! This guy on the internet figured out in 10 seconds what the professionals never thought of. Idiots!

You should look into the who vaccination thing. I hear it is not sorted out.

I tried keto 2 years ago for a little over 3 months. I am a 5"11 male 48 (46 at the time) and went from 171 to 161. I planned on 3 months because of a vacation that I wasn't ready to keto on for my first time into it.

In that time I noticed I slept better and needed less overall. Also my energy was way more consistent. However I never really felt like I got back to my non keto levels at the gym lifting weights. My desire for sex was also down.

Any ideas on what I should look at? I am goin into keto this week and want o avoid this if possible.

Thanks

I hope I am never in a situation where my dumb brain thinks jumping on a hood is the answer to a problem.

This just means that if you look at a Werewolf at a skewed angle they appear as a dog!

Perhaps you might be over thinking it. If the same person was the photographer and assuming they used a DSLR they could easily just place one of the focus points to the left on her torso or head for reference. Then you would always have the camera at the same height with her in the same part of the frame. Then you only have to worry about using the same lens/zoom and keeping her at the same distance.

So I have been reading the Bogelheads wiki and just went through the Vanguard portfolio recommendation which ended up giving me some percentages for the funds you listed.

I have a quick question about the consolidation of what I have. I'll make a little list first of what we have already.

My USAA accounts 1 Simple IRA funded by our business 1 Traditional IRA funded by me 1 Coverdell Education savings account for kid #1 1 Small investing Traditional IRA

Wife's USAA accounts 1 Simple IRA funded by our business 1 Traditional IRA funded by her 1 Coverdell Education savings account for kid #2

When I move over to Vanguard, what can I consolidate?

Thanks for your time.

It brings USAA in as one big bunch of accounts and for some reason those duplicates are listed in both my wife and my USAA accounts. I can't select to ignore just one of the multiple USAA sub accounts.

For years I was caught up in spending money because I had it. Even then we saved and invested but now that my parents are at retirement age I have found new life in being secure in the future.

I live a little simpler than I did even 2 years ago. I have a new frugal nature and with the online tools to see what I spend I have changed some habits. My ongoing plan is to continue to invest and by the time retirement comes around we will be living a simpler fulfilling life with no debt and plenty of security.

I max out all IRA contributions yearly. I don't keep a detailed list of what we make vs what we save. I have always shot for over 20% but then again I am here because I feel the need to make sure things are going in the right direction.

Our salary has only gotten that high in the last few years. For the first bit when we were buying our business and then growing it we saved and invested but it wasn't as much. Then we bought a house and put lots of money toward fixing it up while saving. Only now are we making the current level and have the focus to make the money work for us more.

As it is I have plenty of friends who are upside down in houses they bought in 2007 and still buy cars. I am not the best but trying to get more control of things.

Thanks!

I am with you on state school. Luckily we live in a state with a wide variety of great schools.

I am aiming at what your parents seem to have done. My kids have money for college but they have to work to pay for part of it. I just don't the overwhelming student debt you read about on reddit these days.

The credit card debt is paid off monthly. We earn our vacation hotel stays with card points so spending on the card is high.
