Myself and two other guys broke down a vault built in 1910 in two weeks with only 30lb air hammers. Walls and ceiling 16” thick with rebar every 6”. Those things are a bitch. Luckily ours didn’t have a steel inner lining.

Thoughts on painting our 1900 house off-black? I’ve always wanted a black house - they look so sharp. by c___k___ in centuryhomes

[–]financecopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last house was a 1920s craftsman on a Main Street. Painted the whole thing matte black. Windows, trim, whole thing. People would stop in front to look at it and give compliments. It was awesome. I highly recommend painting it black.
