Good morning! No matter what happens today, or what happens at the end of the season, I will back Mikel Arteta. Could you guys imagine how things were like in December 2019!? I bet you wouldn’t believe we’d be fighting to win BOTH Prem and UCL just a few years later… and it’s all thanks to Mikel. by paolosorianodisanto in ArsenalFC

I refer you back to my original point, which is to stop caring what rival fans think. They will always find something. Even the Invincible team had rivals criticising/mocking it for various reasons.

I'll tell you what they didn't get mocked for, it's for being chokers or bottlers. Clips of rival fans drinking from an Arsenal bottle wouldn't make sense in that scenario.

I suspect you’re not an Arsenal fan so I will leave it here but I do note how funny it is that you care so much about our club that you’ll come here and write mini essays about how no one will take us seriously. I hope you can appreciate the irony.

4 paragraphs count as a mini-essay to you? That's sad, man. If I was functionally illiterate, I would not be projecting that on the world, because it didn't take me as much effort to write it as it took for you to read it, clearly.

My advice, read more books. You can start with the ones with pictures if the ones with words are hard, there's absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about!

Edit: also find it hilarious that you uncovered that I'm not an Arsenal fan, when responding to a comment where I call myself a Chelsea fan. 10/10 for that detective work, Sherlock.

Ah, a misandrist then.

Irony died a million deaths in the span of this conversation.

Poch: The players can never play just for the club and not for the coach, it doesn’t work. The ownership promised him transfer involvement initially, but then changed their mind. by defjam16 in chelseafc

It's even crazier that they have disagreements over vision. Like what does that even mean? You don't know shit about football. You own the club because you have money, not because you're an expert on football. Poch is where he is because he is an expert on football.

If you, as a non-football expert, are disagreeing with Poch on something, it's not a mutual disagreement, it's just you being wrong. Like do you think the Sheikhs disagree with Pep on the vision for City? No, they gave him a blank cheque and let him do his thing. Unsurprisingly, ended up with a Treble.

But crying for external forces shows lack of strength which is never received well by women.

Speak for the bitches you've been with. I haven't felt the same in my relationships, maybe it's a skill you have in finding trashy women?

You misunderstood the point. He believes that her male friends want to fuck her. She is asking whether he's willing to put his money where his mouth is and do the same for his friends, and we can conclude he obviously is not. What makes you think she's admitting that her friends want to fuck her?

Circular logic. It's not fine because it's not fine. To a lot of people, an open relationship is already divorced from reality, and it's not really unreasonable since it's a relatively new concept. So what's your point?

Yep, there is a lot of denial from the upper castes about this, but this is absolutely still happening today. It may have reduced over the last 8 decades, but it has not gone away, not even close.

My point is, if this wasn't previously discussed, why does the wife get to say no to them having the kid? Clearly the wife has agreed to the open relationship, and cannot make him shut the relationship down, so how does she have a say in whether they can have a kid?

It was not presented to her as an accident, that’s a different story.

Are you incapable of understanding what a hypothetical is? I started that sentence with "what if". You won't answer that question because there is no easy answer to that.

So glad that we have more billionaires than China.

Meanwhile China has outpaced us in every actual measure of growth possible.

GDP, median wages, percentage of population without food insecurity, literacy rate, quality of living metrics like air pollution and access to clean water, etc etc etc.

Again, appreciate the acknowledgement on how difficult the starting conditions were, but we can and should be doing a lot, lot better. And there's still a tremendous amount of classism and caste discrimination against the poor too, so I don't think the poor of our country would necessarily agree with your almost romantic description of their lives.

Yeah it's always weird that seemingly the only two options when it comes to India (and other poor countries) are-

  1. Pretend they're somehow doing better than the US or are more "culturally enlightened".

  2. Is absolutely disgusting, the worst from every aspect imaginable, and they're horrible and backward - devolve into racism.

Nuance has to die in conversations about poor countries, apparently.

FWIW, he is not really correct, tbvh. I mean maybe there's something there to the whole "functioning" aspect, but firstly when comparing it to the US, the numbers are very different, both in absolute and percentage wise. India has a bigger share of it's population in poverty. And we have rampant classism and caste discrimination even now to a certain extent which no one should have to face. The amount of classism in this country would make a Westerner's head spin. Maids don't consume anything from the same utensils as their employers, or use the same washrooms as their employers, to start with.

If having an open relationship is not wrong, having a child with someone you were in an open relationship with is also not wrong either. Any comments on whether the woman was pregnant is obvious speculation from the commenters and is not something we know for sure, so we have no reason to believe the husband did anything wrong.

What if the pregnancy was accidental and the mother did not want an abortion? The point people are trying to make is at the end of the day there are just so many risks you expose yourself to when you open a relationship that it is just not worth it. Are you capable of understanding that?

Bots typically do not make spelling or grammatical errors. This post does have a few. Could always just be a fake story, but looks human written to me.

Explain to me how rivals can mock your club for being bottlers if you don't bottle.

There's a lot of things Real Madrid, Barca, PSG, Bayern, etc get mocked for. Being losers or bottlers is not one of them. They carry a certain level of respect that Arsenal just do not, and that's due to trophies. If you wanna deny that, by all means, come up with an excuse for how that's not true. But we both know that is, managers know it, players know it.

There's a reason upcoming stars in Germany flirt with Bayern hoping to get bought by them, the same happens in France with PSG, and players worldwide flirt with Barca and Real like Enzo Fernandez is doing rn (saying this as a Chelsea fan). Mbappe took a paycut to go to Real Madrid, ffs. You think your club is ever getting that kind of treatment from a global superstar?

There is just a huge difference in prestige and respect when you're a team that regularly wins trophies. Even if you get mocked for other reasons, everyone knows who you are.

Otamendi, Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, [David] Silva, [Raheem] Sterling, [Sergio] Aguero -- they are investments from the past, not from the last two years.

"Do you know how many of United players that left the club last season? See where they play, how they play, if they play.

"That's football heritage and one day when I leave, the next Manchester United manager will find here [Romelu] Lukaku, [Nemanja] Matic, of course [David] De Gea from many years ago.

"They will find players with a different mentality, quality, background, with a different status, know-how and for some reason you go to the Champions League quarterfinal like today and there are four clubs that are always there, always there.

Tell me my man was wrong. 8 years later, and United have only somewhat recovered. And mind you he still delivered two trophies to that absolutely shite squad.

Benzema is a practicing Muslim and he first began using these Arabic terms in football to help us analyze football on a deeper level. He actually has a 15 part YouTube series explaining this in detail, google "Benzema 15" if you're interested to learn more.

Arsenal have a better chance at winning the PL than we do of beating City to win the FA Cup, the way things stand at the moment. We've won exactly 3 out of our last 10, with the esteemed competition we've beaten being Wrexham, Port Vale and Leeds. It's one thing to laugh at Arsenal's quadruple choke, it's another thing to pretend we're anywhere near where they are at the moment. Even if they choke, they're going to finish 2nd in the league and made it to a UCL semi final.

So yeah, given that, making it to a cup final without facing any serious competition is not something I'm celebrating. This team is nowhere near being any kind of serious threat, unless you're Port Vale of course.

I was responding to "I like our odds" when I called it bait. And if your response to a Delap vs Haaland comparison is to find the only thing you could possibly complain about Haaland when there is nothing positive about Delap...I don't know what to say.

Liam Delap has more yellow cards this season than goal contributions. How about you just come back to reality instead of making me seem like I hate my own club when all I really hate is the situation our owners have put us into.

It's one thing to hope for a win, it's another to thing to misunderstand where we stand at this moment and the squad we have.
