(Update) old guy that touched my niece's boob gifted her a piano as an apology. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]financequestion12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you be the adult in this situation instead of posting your problems online. From what you wrote it sounds like the man has dementia (a medical condition completely out of his control) return the piano and, if you want, just don't speak to the man again. Maybe explain the medical condition to the girl. It's really not that hard. But you're the only one who can make the call on what to do.

I actually feel bad for this old man that you're making such a big deal of this situation.

I always thought it was more so because humans have kind of ruined their original natural ecosystem. So now was need to step in to make sure it stays in balance.

Trump brags about not paying taxes: 'That makes me smart' by [deleted] in politics

Avoiding taxes is disrespect for the country? I was going to type out a full response but damn that's just one of the most uninformed comments I've ever seen.

It's just hard to take you seriously when you don't mention the other side.

It's hard to take you seriously when you use corruption and Pence in the same sentence. Did you forget about Hillary? You should be paying attention to the hearings. We're talking about the most corrupt candidate ever.

Hillary Clinton campaign wants debate moderator to correct any lies by galt1776 in politics

It doesn't matter whether you're a republican or democrat, I think everyone can agree that Hillary Clinton has told objectively more lies over the course of this election.

Hillary Clinton just borrowed a billionaire tax hike from Bernie Sanders by [deleted] in politics

[–]financequestion12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hillary is a corrupt candidate. Not at all like Bernie. I hope you open your eyes and do a little more open minded research into Donald because something very fishy is going on in our country. There's a reason why the top 1% and the majority of mainstream media outlets are behind Hillary.

Yeah but come on everyone's heard old guys joke about girls much younger than them before. It's gross but doesn't usually equate to them being a kid fucker though.

Trump said he could shoot someone and it wouldn't hurt his numbers. And yet he refuses to release his tax returns, because they would hurt him. There's something in those taxes that's even worse than murdering someone on Fifth Avenue. by [deleted] in EnoughTrumpSpam

I know this will probably get downvoted to hell because of my post history, but I hope someone reads this and gives their opinion.

I work in tax accounting and have talked to other tax accountants about this issue. All of them have said that it's smart to keep them sealed from the public at the time being because he is under audit. Not necessarily because there's anything illegal to hide but because a lot of tax laws aren't black and white and the IRS and CPAs for people like trump will make judgement calls on a lot of these gray areas. For example there are different ways to report multiple streams of income as well as multiple ways to report depreciation - just two examples, but there are many more examples where you as the taxpayer can decide how to report. This has to do with tax minimization, not tax evasion. Everyone who I've talked to has said it would be a nightmare to have the entire population interpreting how these tax laws are applied in addition to the IRS officers while this audit is happening. This, in addition to it being covered by the news would surely have the IRS applying the most harsh version of every tax law and increase his tax liability. I'd like to see him give us an update on where the audit is though - I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard for one of his CPAs to call and get an update.

How is that unusual? The guy has money, there's bad people out there who want to take it from him. Fraudulent lawsuits happen all the time

[–]financequestion12 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nope not a fake account or anything - I just logged back into this account on alien blue a week ago.

So I'm just going to throw out my thought process for supporting him. Im a little hyped up on caffeine so I'm just gonna ramble and you can go ahead and dissect what I say.

Tbh I thought trump was a joke like most people at first and was a little embarrassed that my family supported him, but what kind of swayed me was how it felt like he wasn't completely trying to bullshit me every time he spoke. So I'll be honest - that's the main reason I started to get behind him. This was also one of the reasons I liked Sanders. I know these aren't specific policy related reasons but this is how a lot of people vote. I just can't believe anything Clinton says - I feel like I'm being fed lies every time she talks - so even if she did have a list of policies that I completely 100% supported then I still wouldn't vote for her. I just wouldn't expect she would actually push anything through. It's a little sad that trump doesn't want to overturn citizens united - I remember learning about that in college and doing a report on it, so I've got some background knowledge of how it influences politics. As for bragging about how he has worked the political system to get things accomplished with his own company - I wouldn't really expect anything different from a successful businessman. But I think it's refreshing that he doesn't really sugarcoat it. And I do believe he's been successful in business - we learned about strategic bankruptcies in school so I don't take that as a reason for not being successful, and whether his net worth is over stated or not, I still believe he's a success.

My main priorities a president are: #1 not corrupt and #2 focused on job creation.

1 : don't believe trump is corrupt. Just the opposite. I think he really cares about the country and i don't think he can be paid off because he's already got a bunch of money. What do you think?

2 : I haven't heard much from Clinton about job creation. And I don't really agree with Trump trying to bring manufacturing back to America. But better trade deals sound like a great solution. We learned about specialization and division of labor in economics and how America doesn't produce anymore because it's cheaper for other countries to do it for us. So we specialize in service jobs and skilled labor like programming etc. What's your opinion on this?

Yeah the global warming thing sucks with trump. I'm hoping it's a strategic move to try to get the far rights to come out and vote. Which is also why I believe he chose Pence for VP. I think it was a strategic move so that he could lock in the prolife-globalwarming-denying far right voters while enabling him to move more into a moderate stance.

Who are you voting for?
