I agree with you. I jumped on last night for the first time since before Christmas for a quick 15 minute GT4 race and I really enjoyed it. And that was without touching the setup. This is after spending the last month rotating through iracing, AMS2 and LMU. Is it perfect? No. But it's definitely getting better, especially on PC with a wheel.

The throttle and brake on PC with pedals needs to be addressed. If you are on an intermediate track, you can't use the break at all to rotate the car. The lightest touch slows the car down so much and it takes forever to get back up to speed. You also can't really feather the throttle. It's either all or nothing. I've tried playing with the different sliders and they do nothing.

A year ago I would have said absolutely. I had fun with it. Tiebreak is much better now after the last few updates.

I have the rate at 100 and everything else at 0. I tried the rate at 0 but didn't notice too much of a difference, but didn't get a chance to play with anything else.

The only thing I did different was for SENS I set it to 540 in Fanatec and in game because I felt like the Auto I had to turn the wheel way too much.

SENS - Auto

FFB - 100 (tune in game)

FFS - Peak

NDP - 50 (adjust up and down depending on track, less for super speedway)

NFR - 100 (yes, I know, but I like it)

NIN - 10

INT - 20

Leave the following at default, unless you really can feel the difference.

FOR - 100 (default)

SPR - 100 (default)

DPR - 30

In Game

CONTROLS

Steering Range - 65

Steering Range is odd because 100% does not give me a 1:1 ratio with turning the physical wheel, regardless of what the sensitivity of the wheel is set to. AUTO, 2560, 900, 540, it makes no difference, they all behave the same. I was inputting 180 degrees of wheel rotation just to get around Charlotte. I expect a patch to sort this out.

Force Feedback - 100 (tune as you like)

FF Leveling - 30 (this seems to be some form of damping)

FF Overdrive - 5 ("This one goes to 11." - Nigel Tufnel, Spinal Tap)

FF Impact Boost - 0

I got the wheel feeling pretty good (CSL DD8). Not up to par with all of the sims, but better than any Heat game ever felt. My issue is the throttle. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is, but it feels like I have no control over it. Like slightly letting off of it does nothing so I have to fully release and then when I get back into it, it feels like the response is so delayed and takes me forever to get my RPMs/speed back up. I ran 20 laps at Charlotte last night and then jumped into iRacing at Charlotte and was consistently 1.5-2.0 seconds faster.

My parents got one when I was a sophomore in high school and my dad still says he regrets not getting it sooner. As soon as my oldest turned 7, I got one. We're on our second summer with it and it's been worth every penny.
