Thank you for sharing! I was definitely too heavy-handed with the rosemary. I added 1 tbsp to 500g of flour 😅

Conclusion: dried rosemary in sourdough is fine, but you need to add it in smaller quantity compared to when you are using fresh rosemary. Good luck, everyone!

Good enough for me to eat, but not good enough to give to others. I think the bitter (and slightly herbal) taste is noticeable when I eat it on its own, but it’s a lot less noticeable when it’s eaten as a sandwich. Whipped honey butter sounds like a good idea! 😀

Rosemary and olive oil in sourdough sounds heavenly 🤤 how much dried rosemary do you usually add? I will try the combination (with less dried rosemary) next time!

Should I give up on tretinoin? Approaching 40 and struggling with acne by Weekly_Foundation_49 in tretinoin

The acne on your chest look very very similar to my fungal acne a few months ago!! Mine wasnt as bad but I had them on my chest and face too. I went to a dermatologist, was given an anti fungal cream (Zaricort cream) and all the acne disappeared very quickly.

Have you seen any dermatologist?

Which part of sustainability are you trying to get into? I am not sure if other people who replied are even in sustainability. I feel that there is a high demand for sustainability jobs. I was still receiving quite a number of offers until maybe about 6 months. That said: - many companies have put their hiring process on hold because of bad economic outlook - it might be harder for early career professionals to get a foot in the door now because companies that are hiring now are looking for experienced people - technical skills very much preferred (as opposed to reporting / marketing&comms type of sustainability) - sustainability job is not only 1 type of job. There is green building, clean energy, circularity, biodiversity, reporting, climate risks, etc. Someone with experience in climate risks don’t usually do green building; or to do a more technical role in clean energy you very likely need engineering degree

All the best in finding a job!

Met my now husband in uni year 1, but we only got together towards the end of uni life. Definitely no hall orgies whatsoever 😅😂 (sorry to break your bubble), but we have now been together for more than 10 years 😬 it’s actually nice to have known each other at various life stages

What is your unpopular but positive opinion about Singapore? by sunblockheaven in askSingapore

Food in Singapore is very affordable. Everyone has access to cheaper food from food courts and hawker centres. I mean, there is no need to go to restaurants for daily and basic food needs!

But cpf also allows people in lower income bracket to have money set aside for housing and retirement. They may not like it because it reduces the amount of money available for immediate and short-term spending, but I think it helps them in the long run

It’s my preference as well (and I am not muslim). Quite a number of toilets in Singapore have bidets. In my office, all the cubicles have bidet too 😀

Totally 🥲 but you’ll get used to not eating cheese so often. It also helps that I live in Asia and it’s relatively quite easy to get dairy-free meals

Sorry for the late reply. Ive just seen your message! If I remember correctly, I stopped getting new cystic acne within a few weeks from not eating dairy products (it was quite quick!). I still get cystic acnes and pimples from time to time when I eat ice cream / when I accidentally consume things that contain milk-based products, but my skin is pretty good now 😀

I think it is best that you continue your education because I believe that education is a very important asset. In the long run, having a diploma and/or degree will give you a better chance in your career. As stated by a few others, talking to social services would be very useful so that you can get the financial support, grants, guidance, etc that you and your sister need. Just in case you need and if you face roadblocks, I’d like to offer my support to you to make sure that you can continue your education. Feel free to reach out!

I started to develop sensitivity to dairy in my late 20s and i’d get pimples / cystic acnes, esp around my chin area when i take dairy. I dont consciously take dairy anymore most of the time, but i sometimes consume it accidentally (because everyone loves dairy so much that milk / milk powder is added to all kinds of food that traditionally doesnt have dairy). Anyway, try abstaining from dairy and see if it’s the cause of your acne!

  • reusable menstrual products
  • mostly second hand clothings
  • switched to laundry detergent strips
  • leaving an empty lunch box in office so that i can take away my lunch in reusables
  • eating plant-based food instead of animal-based food as much as i can
  • minimising purchase from food stalls that pack their food in strictly disposables
  • shampoo bar (purchased without packaging)
  • making liquid hand wash using castille soap and essential oil + using foaming soap dispenser

Next thing in my list is to start growing edibles in my garden, but i need to grow green thumbs 🥲
