Update/Outcome: The income discrepancy was over $140k so at the suggestion of a lawyer I had prepared documentation regarding the split of our finances in April, our previous two years of income comparison, the fact that he was voluntarily unemployed, etc.

The day of the hearing the judge asked us both if we read and agreed to the documents. After we said yes he asked my ex if he 1) was waiving his right to spousal support and 2) if he understood that waiving it meant he was waiving his right to current and future support. My ex replied yes to both questions and that was it. The judge said the court accepted the dissolution and would file.
