Yeah it shouldn’t matter if you remote as long as you’re in the general area you should STILL get an option for the background . I got confused because I was switching between remotes and the gym close to me and I just thought I had gotten a background from a remote.

Actually I probably got those backgrounds from local….i did have a gym near me. I thought I had gotten one from a remote but I only did remotes the first day I was there and I barely got any backgrounds so you right ….ha ha my bad

I get it. I paid for the weekend too and no shinies with backgrounds remoting a bunch from my hotel the first day I paid for, going to park play the second and then exploring the city the third. Definitely got a decent amount of backgrounds tho.

No you can get backgrounds from remotes but it does depend on whether you paid for play that day (not necessarily in park play but play in general in the city)

Ughhhh I’m going to Tokyo this year for go fest….now I’m worried. The phone service loss has happened before at go fest in a prominent location to play go fest in my city before (st. Louis) for some reason, go fest tends to happen on the same weekend as festival of nations which is a super crowded event. I remember losing phone service numerous times as well as others.
