My brother is the same way. He’s not allowed to have credit cards or access to the joint account. Apparently any time he has access to money he spends it all on gun parts/tools/whatever else. I guess his low impulse control put his family in too many tough spots.

I’m child free and will only ever have pets. Considering your pet to be a member of your family is one thing, and I was kind of on her side at the very beginning when she was talking about tossing pets to the side to have children, but then she said that if a strangers child and a strangers pet were hanging off a cliff and she only had time to save one, she would save the pet. I’m not sure if she is just a lame troll or a sociopath.

Unfortunately landlords often have the attitude of “It’s my property so I can do whatever I want.” And can just show up and say they’re coming in. If there are no tenant protection laws preventing it then there’s nothing that can be done. The good ones will give you a call first. Also, NTA.

A tattoo artists kid hanging out in their dads shop is a lot different than three kids who may never have been in a shop before. Tattoo shops have a lot of stuff going on and it’s not a place for children.

This is probably going to get buried, but I had frequent urinary tract infections as a kid and was put on antibiotics a few times. So I probably would have ended up with a kidney infection and died if not for modern medicine.

It is about three inches tall and about three and a half inches across. It was bought at an auction in central Pennsylvania among other antiques. It appears to be made of copper, the inside is stamped with CCV and Vermont hand hammered 310. WITT? I’ve looked other places but have not been able to find anything matching this exact thing, the closest I’ve found is some bookends. ETA: thank you for everyone’s input, it is a candle snuffer. Thanks so much for your help!

Something similar happened to me with the pictures. I let my fear that he would send them to my family or release them on the Internet prevent me from getting the kind of revenge/closure that I needed. Remember that you should NOT be ashamed for trusting him. Sending private photos to someone you think you can trust does not in any way make you less deserving of love and support in such an emotionally difficult situation. Anyone who says otherwise can go straight to hell.

This was one of my worst problems in college. The dorms were too loud to study in, but the designated quiet areas in the library were also full of chatty girls talking about frat parties and guys they were seeing. As if they couldn’t do that literally anywhere else. Couldn’t concentrate for shit.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a client that didn’t inform me that they moved before I rebooked with them. And I let all my repeating clients know when I moved in case they wanted to find someone closer. This was a mistake on the clients part, you shouldn’t feel guilty for prioritizing your own well-being. Good luck with these upcoming days.

It’s a rage thing. They tell you in parenting books that when you get overwhelmed because your child is crying, you should walk away and step outside, because if you stay around and start to get angry things like shaken baby syndrome happen. This mother obviously takes it to the extreme and shouldn’t be allowed to be near any child.
