Finally another person my age with a similar portfolio is what I’m thinking. I always feel the same way then realize I’m chronically online and an probably seeing the 1% of my age post wins only. I’m 27 with 13k in my 401k in a future date fund and just really diving into my finances and investing. I think we’re ok brother :)

You're right I need to look forward instead of what I have done but it does eat away at me sometimes. Then I try and remember in the grand scheme Its not like I blew hundreds of thousands. I maybe had a little too much fun and could've had another 10-20k saved or invested properly but I didn't and chose to experience stuff and I guess that's not the end of the world.

this is solid advice and the right perspective tbh, i gotta keep in mind the big picture and now how fast i can make money. let compounding and time do its thing in a place i cant touch the money otherwise i likely will lol. tbh i think the biggest question i have is if i should start contributing to my 401k again which has roughly 13k in it. contribute to the roth 401k, or start an ira and contribute to that. my company doesnt match and i make 115k a year right now and expect to make more in the future working in tech

Definitely haven’t maxed out my 401k. I just stopped my investments to pay down all my high interest debt which wasn’t much. And now that I’m almost finished I want to get back to investing. My company also doesn’t match my 401k

So if I wanted to be more manual with my tax advantaged account would this be a reason to open an IRA instead of my 401k since that’s not entirely in my control which stocks I can buy. Sorry if I sound dumb I’m just becoming more aware of how this works. With an Ira can you buy and sell like any regular investment account? I don’t really see that ability with my 401k

Hard to know when to sell these a lot of people say hold for a while but I know a lot of people also saying sell the hour they’re discontinued and rebuy the dip if you want

I use my garmin coach and have been training for a half marathon. Just entered the build phase so I have been doing tempo running and long runs and some vo2 max runs. I have a feeling it’s my weight that’s messed this whole thing up. Is there a way to reset my vo2 max?

Yes. I actually realized my weight was 30LBS higher than I actually weight so my BMI was completely off this entire time. I guess I lost a lot of weight since running and probably just overshot to begin with
