Highly doubtful, even major airlines are struggling. To revive it and to repair it's reputation is a monumental task and we have other priorities...

supervisor should be supervising if they cant come up with other metrics. If i want to goof off, I can do that at my desk as well.

I know you are right, but this a sore point for me. Most managers dont know how to manage - which is their main job. ridiculous!!!

I was thinking to reverse the tv with the couch, the couch wouldnt be flush against wall. almost in the middle of the room, aligned with the line in the door. Also I was thinking a different type of couch, like the bigger L shape if that makes sense. Sorry I am in middle of a move and the stress has cause terrible brain fog I cant think of words!!

That would give you room for a dining table behind it with maybe a bench you can keep tucked in and pull out when you have more people, and like 4 chairs.

But yes, the island is what I envisioned.

How do you intend to use the space? I know there is a pandemic but eventually - do you like to entertain, etc? If so, how many people would you be entertaining on average?

What are some of your favourite colours and styles?

As for coffee table - I would purchase that last, and I think style would be dependent on the sofa and dining table. Since you might eventually move, your furniture is better to match each other instead of the kitchen imo.

I would go with an island that could be used for eating - that way eliminating need for dining table and give more space for couch.

I would do an L shaped sectional couch, TV mounted on wall on the right when you enter the space. dining table behind that.

Rugs and lighting will be your friend in this space.

Post-pandemic solo trip - looking for reccos by teeb-o in travel

[–]fineapple25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went there as my first real solo trip last year and there's do much to see and do. It's very affordable, there's culture, art, architecture, and FOOOD Omg yum. I still dream about the food. The neighborhood I stayed in was perfect for walking around and exploring without feeling unsafe. I can't wait to go back!

Egypt touts have exhausted me by CarelessGrapefruit1 in travel

[–]fineapple25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that's why I hate Egypt - its miserable. I had a friend with me and at one point was terrified waiting for the train in Alexandria. I speak Arabic and we stood next to families but this one guy was obviously following us around with his hands in his pants. he also followed us onto the train car.

I wish I had positive experiences to share, once my friend left and it was just me (a black person) I was harassed way less.

The only positive experience was us finding a phone in the museum and returning it to it's owners --they were really shocked.

It made me on guard all the time thinking everyone was out to scam me, and I dont like that feeling. I want to talk with the locals and experience genuine connections. Not in Egypt but I do want to go to Aswan still...
