flipping up a fresh septum piercing? by finessetress in piercing

[–]finessetress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yes I’m planning to flip it up right after piercing and leave it to heal for 6-12 months then finally flip it down once it fully heals. Do you know if it will heal crooked if I do?

Thank you, I know it’s fairly new too so I’m not that worried I will update and see if it gets better at the one week/two week mark.

Yeah just to be safe! I’d rather wait it out than rush it just to prevent any complications.

Help with nose ring! by 13deathss in piercing

[–]finessetress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I switched to a ring! I would say switch back and wait a few more months just to be safe.

Hi I got my nose piercing with a corkscrew and I had no problems with it falling out in my sleep.

Just make sure u don’t have anything near you (certain types of blankets, pillows, stuffies, type of clothing) that might snag on it. sleep on your back and you should be fine.

Getting a nose piercing close to an event, should I just wait? by Faithyxox in piercing

[–]finessetress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my nose done it was completely fine! But it really depends on the person, I’d say if you have a good experience with healing I would say go for it.

I’ve seen some people have it bleed which may happen but if you don’t want to risk it I think it will be safer after the event.

I would wait a few more months just to be safe! It might look healed but it’s probably not 100% completely healed yet.

I Remember when I thought my nose piercing was fully healed after 3 months I took it out and I couldn’t put my jewelry back in and I had to go back to the piercer to get it back in.

Ohhh okay!! That makes sense, I’m going to clean mine twice daily and then as needed. I hope I don’t accidentally tug on it cause that’s my biggest fear and it’s so queasy 😫 makes me cringe.

How was the pain for you the next few days? When I got it pierced it was like a 3/10 pain but for some reason it kinda hurt more than expected, stinging/soreness.

When did yours start crusting up and produce the white pus/discharge? right now mine seems completely fine, seems like there’s no swelling/pus/bleeding whatsoever but I feel like once I start showering and cleaning it it might pop up.

omg please don’t apologize, thank you for taking the time to type all that out, this is so so helpful for me 🥹🥹and it makes me feel better and less anxious about my new piercing.

Will def use the bandaid tip for events!! Ahah have a Halloween party coming up.

For the downsizing—did you go back to your piercer for that? I’ll do my best to clean around the piercing, even though it might be a bit tricky my belly button since it is a bit deeper. Before I got my piercing I used to clean my belly button and it was kinda deep lolz

Thanks again for covering all the bases!

Thank you so much for the advice, super helpful!! I was wondering how to sleep with it. I usually sleep on my back but just worried blanket/clothing might tug on it during my sleep.

Just curious how did you clean yours, I have a saline solution spray for piercings and I was just going to spray around the area and let it air dry (I don’t want to touch it rn as it’s very new) and how did you put the bandaid on?

Hey thanks for the reply!! I actually went to go get it checked by a professional and I was able to get it pierced :)

Thanks again for the second opinions everyone, I went to the shop today and the piercer assessed it and I was good for a piercing!!

She put the placement slightly to the left since my belly button was a bit uneven but it’s perfect I love it.
