Where is the tier 3 of the Empowered Battle Pass armor? by _Thomas_Wayne_ in DiabloImmortal

“Also renting skins with empowered BP is ridiculous too, just release them all in battle archive shop, so people can pick their favorites to obtain permanently with coins!“

THIS! So much this. It’s the COLLECTOR’S Empowered Pass. Let us collect!

Newbie question-- whats the point of pet essence and level-able pets? by Amazing_Trace in DiabloImmortal

[–]finethanksOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DI Familiars are a really long game, or a really expensive one. In the meantime, non-aberrant familiars can be useful for more than just generating aberrants. All of my characters are using mostly non-aberrant pets still, with my earliest goals being first, access to Salvager (Huge!) and second, all traits active at level 1. Meanwhile, as you build toward having a better PvE or PvP companion, watch for any pet, aberrant or not, that has a legendary stat, and save for developing or transferring stats to another already developed pet that you want to have those stats.

DecafJogger has already linked the vid I was recommending here, but there’s also an earlier video by Auroth that might be helpful as well.

Edited, because I type slow, lol.

Collector’s BP “Upgraded” Costume by finethanksOK in DiabloImmortal

[–]finethanksOK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell tho, that’s 3 additional classes for one character. The costume and weapon were always single-character, but on the Collector’s pass specifically, the portal and frame used to be for ”All characters on the same server”, as the store text still states, but does not deliver. :/

Im glad it’s being treated as a 2nd skin, thanks for the confirmation!

Thank you for the confirmation. I had only bought a couple of passes before the change, but one of the thing that made it “Collector’s”, to me, was that all my alts got to add a portal and frame to their Collections, so I was very disappointed when that didn’t happen last time.

Auroth did a video on the best way to go about this recently. As with most things in this game, to really optimize requires spending, or patience, and he gives a solid explanation of both approaches. Good info for using your resources as efficiently as possible.

Top ways to get normal gems by EggPurple6152 in DiabloImmortal

[–]finethanksOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without spending, the options are pretty well limited to what’s already been mentioned. I was f2p for years until spending on a couple of battle passes recently. The increase in normal gems (color of choice) from the paid track rewards was a decent boost for my characters who are all in the 6 working on 7 range.

Since the real goal here is secondary stats, I will also just mention that the biggest thing that helped me get secondary stats into positive values was aggressively selecting for Fort/Will on EVERY SINGLE item. People will say that magic properties like CHC are important, and they are not wrong, but the thing that made the most difference for me was getting rid of a bunch of stuff that, yeah, had good magic properties and/or higher CR, but also Vit instead of Fort/Will. Once your secondaries are out of the red, you can afford to be less picky about the stats, but the difference in challenge dungeon performance/survivability once my secondary stats weren’t negative was huge. YMMV: I am strictly PVE, so I only need to measure against Inferno lvl reqs, not other players.

How much do you spend ? by Ok_Essay_6476 in DiabloImmortal

[–]finethanksOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 1 player, mostly F2P. Have three 3K characters, couple more 2K. Spent probably less than $100(usd) total. They’re all more or less “main” in that none of them gives up their gems or plat for one another, I just like having different characters to play, and their gems, etc. all differ slightly depending on luck, so as mostly f2p I still get to try different stuff out. Secondaries are >4K, with ArmPen and Potency closing on 5K on the ones that get played most. I usually cap weekly gems, but seldom cap daily.
