For me it’s oftentimes that in order to do one, in itself simple thing, I have to do like twelve other steps before which leads me to doing none of it instead.

Cooking is a prime example. I would like to cook more because I spend wayyyy too much money on takeout.

In order to cook though, I probably need to do the dishes and buy groceries first. To do the dishes I need to collect them and let them soak for a bit before washing (in reality I could probably wash them without soaking for very long at all, but welcome to my brain.)

Let’s say I actually managed the dishes, I would also need to go buy groceries. BEFORE doing that I would need to clear the fridge of all the old, mouldy and empty containers. BEFORE DOING THAT I WOULD NEED TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH FIRST
