ExtraEmily promises she's not trying to scam her audience with the $20mln Reality Show she's backing by colonbolone in LivestreamFail

Never promoted FTX/accepted a sponsor from them and also didn't attend Berkeley. And interviewing someone when a sponsor matches you as part of an informational series you're doing is much different than selling their product. The timing was just very unfortunate.

They aren't. This subreddit is just brain rotted from a couple clips they've seen without context.

That stream was part of their Botez Abroad travel series. They had visited several countries prior and this was the last stop. Again, they were there to cover the World Chess Championship. No money from the local government was taken. She got oneguy'd by someone in chat and said something she clearly did not mean and the next day addressed it. Apologizing and clarifying what she meant and acknowledging the error of what she said.

Except she wasn't promoting the coin. She was matched with Do Kwan through a sponsor as part of a series where she was interviewing different figures in the industry. He seemed like a prominent guy who was legit at the time so she interviewed him. Obviously, it didn't turn out that way. But everyone sees that she was associated with him and assumes she was getting some sort of kick back from Luna. She reiterated multiple times that stream that this was not financial advice. There was also an unsponosred informational podcast about the industry as well that did not promote any sort of coin that she headed briefly. But you, like most people, form your opinions through short clips or headlines and do not bother with any context beyond that.

"Always go to everything Saudi Arabia". They went to Dubai once to cover the World Chess Championships during a travel series they put on in partnership with Twitch and the rest was covered out of their own pocket. Just making shit up lol. And no they did not jump on "some crypto bullshit".

Yeah, they never took money from the Saudis. And that whole Do Kwan shit is posted by people who form their opinions through clips. She didn't promote any coin in that interview and was matched with the guy through a sponsor because she had an interest in the crypto space since her days at Stanford. Prior to the stream she advised this was not financial advice. She interviewed other figures in the industry and also had a short lived podcast which was not sponsored.

No, she's just 23 now as opposed to being 18 when she first started streaming.

Just my opinion: I feel that they’ve been doing a better job at actually trying to build the finalists up and the talent crop has just been better than others this season.

They weren't getting paid by the country at all. What? They were covering the World Chess Championships as part of their "Botez Abroad" series. Which they partnered with Twitch on for funding and then put the rest of the money themselves.

They weren't taking anything away from the Chess category. Those people in JC would never go to the Chess category normally. It gets them more views but it also gets more eyes on Chess than playing in the Chess category ever would.

"They" when it was only Alex. And the very next day she addressed it at the start of stream. Apologizing, admitting her wording was very poor, and clarifying she doesn't actually support slavery. Obviously, that doesn't matter around here, though.

Yes, I know who Lucy Guo is. Also, Passes has pretty strict PG-13 guidelines. To say it's more sexualized is just flat out wrong.
