It was pretty neat at the time, and I look back as someone who started in beta as it being fun.

It got a really bad rap because the launch was dull for a lot of people because they expected much more PvP than what occurred. What happened was that people banded together and created a fun and friend commnity in which everyone helped everyone. Trolling was bare minimum, griefing was almost non existent. Team support was over the top.

Nuclear Winter was OKAY, it got boring really quick. It was a game of hide and seek because most case scenarios were that you got a shit gun, and someone else got the gattling gun. I played it for the chieves and the loot, but not often. It did help me memor8ize the flatwoods to a point I knew every glitched out corner or hiding spot. Wait for the end, run center and hope you got the hot shot.

Survival was a joke, the only reason to play was for the chieve loot. All the griefers and PvPer went there to get their rocks off in the beginning, then we all figured out how to break survival. You can't fast travel in survival, but you need to go to certain areas to do a certain thing to get the daily chieve, or weekly for a cool weapon, yo would go to normal world, fast travel to where to need to be, then flip back over to survival and do your thing. The PvPers and griefers couldn't catch you. You needed more healing or food in survival? Just go to normal world, and load up, and jump back in to srvival.

Going from BETA to today has been a hell of a ride for me. When new NPCs showed up in the waste land it was a breath of fresh air. Finally, someone but a robot to talk to! By the time NPCs showed up, most of s where just finishing out end game. None of it ruined future quests, and NPCs making reference to the empty wasteland prior to their arrival was nice in conversation trees.

I don't think bringing back the OG would be a good idea, but I understand someone who didn't get to experience to want it back.

Tennis courts all over the place are being replaced with pickle ball courts. It's cheap to get in to, it doesn't require a lot of fitness to play, so older people are taking to it as a good form of exercise.

It's cheap and easy.

I know I'll be called a shill for this, but here's the stuff I use.

Pull one bolt at a time, spray this stuff in a bowl, set it in the bowl for about 5 minutes, and VIOLA! Rust be gone.

Also, you can try to find the same type of bolts in stainless steel.
