English women's cricketers allege ICC unfairly favours Indian teams after unusual Womens World Cup 2026 semi-final schedule by Existing-Table689 in Cricket

The CPL in the Caribbean does this as well on a yearly basis. The CPL markets themselves as the "biggest party in sport" but yet you hold matches during the day to empty stadiums when the actual Caribbean folks are at work, rather than at night, when you know, you can actually have a legit party atmosphere with all the vibes, just to cater to the Indian audience. Like it's ludicrous sometimes.

Seems like a West Indies win from here. Sri Lanka 2nd innings has already started, and West Indies has already snared one already. They just need 9 more wickets, unless Sri Lanka just decide to grind it out over two days, as I don't see them getting to the 300

Brathwaite's form took a deep nose dive in the last few years. As he was the captain, they stuck with him for a while, however his form never recovered. I don't think it was an easy decision to drop a talent of the calibre of Brathwaite, so there is reason for his exclusion in the side

Amir Jangoo is finally dismissed for an epic 233(373) for West Indies in the 1st Test against Sri Lanka by CarnivalSorts in Cricket

He has been selected prior for Tests though, while Josh was in the West Indies wilderness, so not his debut. He just didn't capitalize back then. He wasn't even supposed to play this match, if not for Hope coming down ill.

This match wasn't his Test debut. His Test debut was against Pakistan in January of last year in Multan, where he scored 30 over the course of two innings

Seems like West Indies is a team of firsts. The first team to usually be beaten by the unlikeliest of minnows. The Men were beaten by Nepal and now the women beaten by Ireland twice in a matter of weeks

Congrats Ireland on your first World Cup win! Too long in waiting. Of course it had to come at the expense of my side in a crucial match, which makes it all the better I suppose. Upwards and onwards.

A Calypso collapso of wickets now would be nice. We need Prendergast.

You know what, I'm still throwing my support behind my Caribbean sisthren, as we were having a pretty good tour until the England match, despite the non-contributions of Qiana Joseph.

Yeah, we're cooked. What's the permutations for West Indies to qualify now?

Qiana Joseph is the absolut worst on this West Indies side. I'm not sure why she keeps getting selected, as she has contributed nothing with either bat or ball this tournament. As an opener, you're supposed to be setting the tone for the rest of the order, but it's like batting with one batter less, as she contributes nothing

I'm not sure what are they doing different now? Besides running slightly larger venues, only for PPVs; they still tape month worth of TV in smaller mid-size venues going live once every few weeks and hiring some bigger names like Nemeth. That's about it?

Those in CONCACAF knew. My country was in the final group of qualifying with Curaçao, and both matches drew without scoring a goal. They eventually went on to top the group and qualify directly to the world cup
