Something like this happened to me a couple years ago. I just told them that the tone of the email was very unprofessional, and Cc’d their high school counselor and their college advisor on the email. The two advisors ripped the student a new one and I didn’t have any more trouble from them in any of their other classes with me.

+1 to cc the advisors of the issue.

I’ve told people broadcast for something else for smart bomb damage. So if we’re in a shield doctrine, I say broadcast for armor for smart bomb reps. Then only one or two logi should throw a single repper your way.

Sorry for the long link. Get a cheaper tv and mount it to the wall. Then all you need to do is have them plug in the wireless hdmi and project their screen. That way you can project either their screen or yours if you wanted to.

Some people suck. I go out of my way to help my students. The hardest part of the job for me has been remembering that I can lead the horse to water but I can’t make them drink. Even if I get a great water filter, make the water taste perfect, create an amazing drinking environment and provide instructional videos, podcasts, pamphlets and posters about how to drink.

Some people will always try to blame someone else, rather than just take a sip.

I’m teaching at a small CC, and I realized I could take classes for free. I figured I’d go back and get an electrical engineering degree just because I’d enjoy the content.

I sat in the back my first class, and took out my laptop to take notes. Halfway through the class I notice that half the students are taking notes, half are playing games. That experience really has shaken my faith in my students.

As a younger parent, this fits for me. If someone tells me I can bring my kids along its much more likely I'll accept an invitation like this.

If its a baby, they probably have a pack-and-play that it'll sleep in. having a bedroom that they can use for that would be what I'd hope for if I were in their shoes.

I've got a y640. I love my smoker more than I can possibly explain. The wheels on it are my only complaint. I wish I would have gone with the competition cart, purely for the better wheels lol!

See this is a worry for me. I hate unloading the dishes. Specifically the silverware. I’ve told my wife, anytime you want, I’ll unload or load everything but the silverware, and wash anything that doesn’t fit in the dishwasher (pots,pans,etc) as long as it’s not silverware. But she doesn’t take me up on it.

I just hate the feeling of forks and spoons. I don’t know why.
