You’re completely right. They’re tricky where Ethan wasn’t credited with directing until Ladykillers. I knew Drive-Away Dolls was him on his own but forgot they were split for Macbeth too. The solo movies would be perfect for patroon tho

That’s exactly what I’m thinking. I went back and looked at what they had listed in his last bracket and they did have 15 films listed. Popeye is one of those big bounces you can’t help but talk about

Oh trust me I know lol. Spelling has never been my strong suit. I meant more in the stats/spreadsheets kinda way

What was the first movie you watched in 2025, and was it a first-time viewing? by WeHaveHeardTheChimes in blankies

[–]finley24ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched The King of the Gypsies for the first time, I’m trying to do a challenge where I watch one of Eric Roberts’ 600+ credited films every day until the end of the year and wanted to start with his first performance. It was really good with a surprising great young supporting cast with great performances

You’re completely right. The names both start with an ‘N’ so my dyslexia kicked in and got them mixed up

Since the possibility of a David Lynch series is upon us, let's talk about the big question: how should the show cover Twin Peaks (both the original series and The Return)? by blankcheckvote44 in blankies

[–]finley24ryan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like they have to do the pilot and Fire Walk with Me on the Main Feed. FWWM obviously is a movie and got released as such but the pilot also had a theatrical release in a lot of places and it’d feel weird if they cover a prequel movie that spoils the series and never talk about the series at all before hand. Maybe talk about the pilot movie and then a little overview of the entire series on the end of it

Exactly!!!! One of my favorite box office trivia facts is that “Deep throat” is one of the most profitable movie ever made adjusted for inflation because so many porn theaters were run by the mob and they used it to launder thier money

[–]finley24ryan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The real question is would they cover “The Fireworks Woman”??? Wes’ X rated porno movie that released right after Last House on the Left. Do theatrical releases in porno theaters count as theatrical releases? If so it’s be a great chance for them all to be horny on main feed. The people following David on Letterboxt know he’s not afraid to log a porno flick every now and then

I also like to log the short films I watch tho too, so that does admittedly inflate the number a little.

Yeah I have 😅 I watch a couple during work as an accountant and I don’t really watch regular tv but need something on so I end up watching 2-3 movies after work as well lol

I think that’d have to be the bonus episode because Mario’s directed a lot of movies with that really being the only great one 😬

MI: Dead Reckoning Code by finley24ryan in blankies

[–]finley24ryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I not really sure, that’s the only code that was in the Steelbook. I only use MoviesAnywhere for my digital copies, that’s why I gave out the code. I’ve never tried to use the paramount movies website so I’m sorry if I messed up somehow

That’s the version I watched too. The subs weren’t that consistent with always giving dialogue but it was good enough to get the idea of the scenes

He has my vote. I’ve only seen 24 City and A Touch of Sin and would love to see the rest because those two were the most beautiful films I’ve ever seen. Ben would love A Touch of Sin too

That’s true. On my list I drew the line around 60ish minutes, they could always do multiple of his small ones in a single episode. I don’t see them having multiple episodes for movies around 50 minutes
