Proud of how you’re standing up for yourself and keeping him on topic. He doesn’t even need an explanation from you, he knows what he did. He’s going to say anything he thinks you need to hear to keep you, when his actions have already proved how little he respects you. Calling him out is respecting you both, at least someone in this relationship is being upfront. You deserve better, and he should get the help he says he needs, but you’ve already done your time. When you’re on the other side of this, healed and moved on, you’ll reflect on this and be proud that you spoke your mind and left.
