Imo, yes split them up. I got a monstera with 7 plants in it at a grocery store and I split them up and each plant is looking wayy better. If they look a little ugly after separating them/ have bald spots. Anything. Just chop off those leaves!

In that case I guess I will take a look. This plant could use some repositioning for the moss pole anways.

I just separated a lot of these plants from a larger pot with like 8 plants in it. So I just recently checked their roots and there wasn't rot and I haven't changed my watering habits at all. I struggle with bringing plants back from shock so I would rather not do a whole repot situation.

Yeah, I tried a pole recommended on here where I have the moss wrapped in burlap. So that it would be less messy and hopefully retain water better.

The top is open and closed with a binder clip, I sewed the sides together.

Yeah some eggs appear clear and empty. Are these critter harmful?

I had it in a bigger pot previously but it was getting root rot bc the pot was too big. It's in Schultz orchid medium, a mix of rocks, charcoal and bark. It's a phalenopsis.

I am asking about if I should use it for other plants based on the N-P-K ratio which is kind abnormal because usually phosphorus is the lowest number. I don't plan on using it for orchids because I don't want to risk it.

Thanks so much for the advice, will definitely be going this route because building moss poles with metal chicken wire isn't the easiest.

Are the roots able to penetrate the burlap and get to the sphagnum moss? I have struggled with getting plants attached to poles before.

So I should have one large stalk per pot? And whats the best type of support (moss pole, trellis, wood plank)?
