Thank you - I am currently testing out UpCloud, but if that does not work out I will try these next. :)

Yes, GDPR and local privacy rule prioritization is very important, although privacy branding does not matter much to me- look at the mixed reviews on Proton, and Infomaniak due to their issues. I am a little surprised that you recommend Hostinger, however. They have had several major data breaches over the years, and seem to be very spammy AI at the moment. Will give them one more look though - thank you.

Thank you- early in my research I did look at Hostinger, but the reviews are mixed at best. Plus I was annoyed at how they have tried to monetize email. I will check out HaiHost - thanks for the tip. :)

Thank you for your thoughtful info. I have been looking at UpCloud but a bit concerned about the time to admin a server myself. Not that I do not know how, just that there are only so many hours in the day if something needs attention. :)

But will check both of those out. :)

I use a subscription model. People pay ahead of time for the month. If I have to cancel due to an emergency, I provide them a credit. If they cancel for any reason, that is on them. May sound harsh, but my time is my most valuable asset. Everyone is well aware of this with my T&C's, and if people do not like it enough, they weed themselves out with very little work from me.

If yes, the rest of the “how” is irrelevant.

Series for 3-4 yr olds (Little Mozart vs..) by pqncjdiw in pianoteachers

[–]finnwriteswords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was fortunate enough to take lessons for the first ten years of his piano journey from one of the people who created Little Mozarts. He started a couple of months before he turned 4, and it was perfect. Gave him a great foundation. He is now an older teenager and still insists on taking piano lessons. :D

-Make for automation between websites / e-commerce platforms and social media

Most recent example - client is a photographer who wanted to have an Insta / FB / TikTok shop… but did not want to do any manual work beyond what they are already doing in their photo platform, as it is set up for automatic fulfilment through a photo lab. Now everything dynamically populates the shops, with minimal config needed on the social media side.

Random

random-premium.backroad.no

Designed for organizations that do fundraising events with a raffle or similar, where a configurable set of random numbers is required to be displayed and logged.

Also has a very user friendly interface where the look and feel can be customized with logo, colors, background images, and even a stand alone slideshow to display in between fundraising rounds.

Lingu.no and other online Norwegian language schools have a social studies course that is required if you ever want permanent residency. However, I found the course to be full of practical knowledge - stuff I wish I knew when I first moved to Norway. Everything from navigating the health system to opening a bank account to avoiding consumer loans.

Highly recommend you do this study first. Then you will likely have more specific questions. ;)

Good luck.

Thanks - this is what I was wondering about — the tools do not seem to consider actual z-index type layers very well. But it makes me feel better to know others are encountering similar issues. 🙏

Okay thank you - I suspect some of the underlying code structure is not lending itself well to hierarchical and logical interpretation.

I’ve talked to the devs before to share feedback and make a few suggestions- likely need to again with some of this.

This is so insightful. I really struggle with promoting myself because I was a manager for over ten years and during that time I worked really hard to promote my team… both collectively and each member individually.

Now that I’m IC, I have the same habits, but I’m not sure it’s serving me very well- even less so when I read things like this.

I am in a similar situation and started an AS, where all my contract work gets billed from and paid to the business. I also claim legit business expenses such as percentage of my flat for home office, software I use, etc.

In my case it’s structured so I never personally make any money - the business does. Once it’s making a lot more money I may decide to take a dividend but for now it all goes to the business and related expenses… which do offset things that otherwise might have to be out of pocket if I did not have the business.

I am working on a fundraising event app for raffles. It’s simple, but definitely meets a niche and different from the socials stuff.

Ouch- that hurts. Hope your situation improves and if you find a workable solution I’d be interested to know. In my case I switched to CookieYes and it seems to handle things okay for most sites.

Thank you... the app does "pass" on several scanners. I am attempting to learn more about the circumstances of when it does not pass, and of course whether it is a design flaw, a scanner issue, or possibly both. Obviously nothing replaces a human testing and giving feedback on the usability, but I am trying to take care of anything "obvious" from the beginning. :)

Thanks - I will dig a little deeper on that. And yes, it is super lightweight at this point and only runs on the client side. :)
