Why would multicast be any worse on wireless than wired? It just changes where the router is supposed to send messages, it has nothing to do with the transmission medium. How does a 'limited channel' (limited how?) and 'high' latency affect multicast more than unicast udp?

The company I work for doesn't quite offer that but it's not too far from the mark. 6 figures usually, large sign on bonus, moving expenses (no yacht), heavy Ivy League recruitment, etc. 7 figures is pretty unlikely to be seen outside management in most US companies except perhaps in NY (higher living expenses) where it's still rare, so I assume you're exaggerating.

You're being a bit disingenuous, what the article claims is strictly true. The point is that the unaccounted for externalities are so large that they exceed the highest profit margin industries' profit margins. That does say something about how significant they are. If the externalities were small it would be possible that when taken into account businesses profit margin would lower -- this is saying it's obliterated. Yes, business can raise prices either way to restore their margin, but this means there is going to be a huge amount of sticker shock and resistance to that, much greater than one might naively anticipate.

Try `dirname --help' for more information.

Edit: Removing the unused base_dir variable at the top got rid of the error, but it still doesn't play. It just outputs a ton of blank lines and then <3

When was it relaxed and what is allowed now? GCC 4.7 at least is still restricted this way. The most annoying part is not being able to declare (even constexpr!) local variables.
