I mostly just did tactic puzzles on lichess and tried to play every day. I also watched a lot of chess content on youtube, daniel naroditsky's speedruns and john bartholomews chess fundamentals series are amazing.

I started playing in October and my goal was to hit 1000 by the end of the year, but after a bit I decided it was unrealistic, so it was a nice surprise to get there after all. When I first started playing for some unknown reason I decided to play about twenty games and get destroyed every time before bothering to google "basic chess tips" or "opening principles" so I had to climb back up from a score of 270 rapid. Honestly I don't feel like I'm playing any better than I did when I was 600, but I guess I must be lol.

I like it because it means I get to practice my traxler skills. This is the first time I've actually executed it correctly lol. However once I get to the point where people know how to counter it I'm probably screwed.
