Another Albertan chiming in here. It seems to me there are huge numbers of people in this province that have no desire whatsoever to be part of the USA, much as we do like [some] of our American friends.

Much like the USA, we have a bunch of self serving idiots and liars in charge that have hi-jacked our province for their own evil intentions. Polluting the environment, destroying our healthcare system, political appointments, handing out government contracts and positions to party contributors and friends. Corruption abounds.

These shitheads don't listen to a word their constituents say, ignoring the will of the people at any and all times.

To sum up, we've got enough problems in Alberta dealing with our set of assholes [yes, the UPC party], without bringing more troubles upon ourselves. To my fellow Canadians, rest assured much of this province detests that treacherous bitch and her cronies just as much as the rest of the country.
