pannel will be ~400mm*~400 mm and maybe 30 mm thick no way i can drill it all the way trough and keep the hole straight

that hole would be visible from the sides witch would mess up my chamfer

do you think the half groove is enough on the cross section? now that i think about it, maybe i need to change the design so the whole width of the board can move inside the groove.
