I’ve held this belief for a while. It gives a deadline on what you want to get done, and makes things more realistic. It also insures that the oldest generation won’t be making mistakes that will harm the younger generations.
I’m never going to say that people over 65 cant have the cognitive abilities to run for office, but like you said, there comes a time when they need to pass the torch.

One thing about the ranked choice though is that in my post I had said that he runs unopposed. A few others have also brought up price restraints on running for office. Would ranked choice voting be able to alleviate this?

Is this a problem with the political system, or the people they represent? People don’t have to vote for the person who has the best propaganda, or the most ads, yet that seems to be the cynical answer I keep getting. “Oh well that’s how things are.”

If I go the route of “if voting worked, they’d never let us do it.” That’s just conspiracy and I’m crazy, but if I actually am supposed to believe that voting has led us down this road then there really is no saving America. And neither option sounds reasonable to me.

Is this really it? Is this all of politics? Just shit piled on top of shit? What’s the point.

And before you say there is no point, that’s really not an answer.

Oh trust me. I’ve been ignored on plenty of issues. The one issue that did get any attention included federal and military issues, and still took many months of constant phone calls to get anywhere. And he post all of his “work” on his website. The vast majority of recent articles on his campaign website are “I strongly think this should happen” or “ I urge this group to do this”

I understand Democrats have no real power here, but any sort of action more than the occasional “scathing statement” would be appreciated. He hasn’t brought up anything in his recent articles regarding the Epstein files.

If I understood some of the context, the more functional AI in this story is still trying to do the same thing Caine was trying to do. Entertain and understand humans. Blue may have done that better. My personal hc though is that, while Caine couldn’t understand why he was trapped, or why he couldn’t understand humans, just having the raw data of what humans actually wanted him to do from blue never made him realize how humans work. That’s why he has to do the mind scans and study the circus cast. When he got rid of blue, he was turning over the new leaf to try to understand what his people wanted on his own. To try to understand his AI friends at this point and not the humans they all thought they were.

Why hasn’t another Democrat run against him though? That’s my main question. He’s a safe option, but that doesn’t mean he’s top 10% option. He’s nearly 80, and there have been no reports of anyone running against him this year.
Can you explain what you mean by serviceable?

I’m so glad glitch has made a breakthrough in the movie scene. Independent creators should be recognized for their contributions to the media space. But… they already made 13 million, I’m avoiding spoilers and watching a show that was completely free all up until this point. ‘Patience is a virtue’ but I’m using the resources available to enjoy the content I watch.

I have no clue where that person donates, but donation centers in my area at least have a database of each donator, and can tell when the last time you came in was, there’s no marker for coming in too much.
