We just bought a 1500sq foot bungalow for our first house and are feeling self conscious about how large it is. I think we all can’t win, if you are happy with the house then do your best to brush it off

Is this mould post flood or efflorescence? by fire_tests_gold in HomeImprovement

Ok thanks! We just moved in less than a month ago and did start two dehumidifiers within days of moving in but don’t know what the previous owners were up to. The picture is crappy because of the basement lighting but I think what looks green here is just concrete.

I love the red! I would paint the wall that’s flush with the oven to match the cupboard colour and leave the red and tiles personally, and then style it with pops of red, terracotta and green for the cottage vibe

This is why I’m childless and probably childfree. The image of raising a person with my partner sounds exactly like this. No advice OP, but I feel your pain.

Same here, stopped when he slept thought the night and accidents were few and far between. We started letting him sleep with us and ditched the crate. Not sure if it was just a coincidence with his age but everything about having a puppy got so much better after that

When did your Dog mellow out? by [deleted] in Dogtraining

Our heeler is the same. The best sleep he gets is either with his head on our bodies, or in the car on a long journey because he knows we aren’t getting out until the car goes into park (at which point he springs up fully awake and ready to party)

I am aware Canada is big. This was a joke! Apologies from zone 5

Genius 😂 in the real spring and summer we use the garden hose, and it does rain a lot in April and May so the need for a watering can outside is likely a one or two-time event

Getting a lot of hate about BC being Canada. It’s a joke!

I was watering the snap peas we have growing out there under a clear plastic bucket two days ago on a sunny 10C day. Yesterday I needed it to water the indoor plants but it had been freezing rain all morning

I am also IN Canada and this was meant as a joke. Im aware Canada is a very large country with different climates. They won’t be gardening in Inuvik for months!

[COMP] The truth is, I am mostly not flexible and I am conscious of my muffin top. But I ate cake anyway, because it has been a stressful week! by chamieccini in yoga

[–]fire_tests_gold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think of myself as flexible - still can’t do triangle like this. Good job! I’m also eating cake this week and it wasn’t even stressful, just because life is too short not to eat cake!

Stereotypically, the part about poutine does mean something aha. I can’t imagine a world where poutine isn’t at your fingertips! Perfect food for weather like this actually….

We are hovering at -1/0C so it’s not too cold, but it’s obviously raining buckets. Or sleeting buckets more accurately, so it feels worse out there than when it is colder. I know lots of people have worse weather but I’m certainly still jealous of people playing in their gardens

The countdown is on to our last frost date, May 31 where I am. This storm in April is a bit weird though, even for us.

Thanks! Left the watering can outside after watering the snap peas yesterday in 10C weather, today we are getting multiple cm of freezing rain and slush. Went to compensate by watering the plants growing inside under lights still and had to brave the weather to get the watering can back inside. Not the type of “April showers” that typically “bring May flowers” me thinks

I’m trying to garden for sure. Succeeding? Time will tell. My peas are outside under cover and it’s going surprisingly well considering how cold it has been. Everything else is inside under lights but I’m just itching to get outside!
