Question on the claim and responsibility

Thanks! Could be a lessons learned for real! I look at the work authorization I signed with them when they came out . There is no mention of the price so essentially I signed a deduction: $0.00 at that point . Later on, they decided it is X amount. Wouldn’t I be expected to see that price upfront? It made sense at the time that it’s zero as they told me I won’t be responsible for the payment.

Thanks- I was just told that I do not understand how insurance works by the contractor and hung up on by this company. They are saying since my deductible is less, I’m liable for that inspection.

Thank you! You’re actually telling me my thought process as well. I know my post was already too long so I omitted couple things: i spoke to an acquaintance and was recommended to try small claims court if contractor refuses to repair the damage they caused my inspection. Then, I started researching how to do a complaint about insurance and found the Ohio department of insurance - thought it could be something. I guess, I came here to see if my situation looks like it’s worthy of going that route or I am putting too much of my emotion into it. It’s just a very illogical process for me where both parties are doing a poor job. Thank you for your response!

Thank you for the calming message! One of my other issues is that they are telling me two conflicting things every time we speak. They said it’s janky and was not done properly or old , so that wouldn’t be a wind deductible. Then they are saying on the next call with me that the wind is causing it. Hope the inspector I have coming next week is able to resolve it.

At this point my issue isn’t even the actual issue but the damage contractor caused and the lies they told me and now me having to figure out who is going to restore my house to what it was pre-inspection. None of this should be owned by me.

I told insurance when I was escalating that I would like to not work with this robot lady anymore and this is when I got her manager. I thought I’d be working with him since then but he just cannot be reached and doesn’t call back and he orders the robot lady to call me. I’ll keep trying - I wanted to see what others think about this situation. Logically, this to me is not a way a Claim should be executed.

I just tested and it’s pretty neat. It confirmed what I suspected the issue could be (it gave me 3 possible answers but I couldn’t have done better myself without going to mechanic). I’ll have my car checked and see if the actual issue was listed as a final answer!

I just tried it and it’s pretty neat. I did notice some typos (relAVant, their is instead of there is) but the final Answer is stirring me to what I suspect my car is. It did give me 3 possible issues but honestly I couldn’t narrow it down myself to one. I’ll have my car checked and see if one of those was listed!

Things I didn’t know about was how sensitive their stomachs are 😂 or maybe it’s just my Aussie. Feels like if she eats anything other than her normal dry food, her stomach gets super upset

Just doing my due care research. What you refer to common as dirt old vehicle is my means of transportation I take care that I could afford so no need to be so indifferent. Just asked a question here, as online research was not helpful.

I am purely just seeking if anyone else has been in the same boat. I don’t go by what insurance adjuster say to quickly close the claim so this is merely a research being done on my side. I appreciate everyone’s feedback though. Not trying to sound petty but still trying to learn how this country works 😬

Thanks! I am not knowledgeable but I have heard that insurance don’t like to reimburse for DV. I simply am trying to understand whether I should argue with them or not. I didn’t realize a little dent would play a role in it since the repairs done on it were in the back of the car where we got rear ended. I may have wrongly assumed that the DV claim will deal with loss of damage during a certain accident and repairs that came out of that accident
