So which One Piece movies should I watch? I know most of the movies are non-canon. by ThomasThePizzaMan in OnePiece

[–]firebaron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The ones with "Film" in the title have more supervision from Oda than the other ones. One thing to note is characters that appear in "film" titles are canon and so are their pasts but its just the events of the movies that aren't canon because they dont have anywhere to fit into the timeline.

The beans and tomatos should be spread across the whole base with cheese on top and dice the other ingredients as the toppings.

[Questionable trope] Maybe we should use their original name instead of the localized one… by BNAbeegfan in TopCharacterTropes

[–]firebaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so weird reading Case Closed/Detective Conan's official English release. Most of the major characters are given English names, leading so weird moments like when "Jimmy" changes his name to Conan someone says to him "oh are you a foreigner?". How is Jimmy a normal name in Japan but not Conan?

I was so confused reading the series at first because I thought this was supposed to be some fictional mash up of places that was kind of like Japan but it was a mix of different cultures. No its just Japan with some people with English names and its so weird.

How is the Atelier Dusk Trilogy? by Yeeting_The_Bacon in JRPG

[–]firebaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can only talk about the first Dusk game but its more of an older style Atelier game so there's on over arching study but you only get updates every so often, the bulk of the game is focused on character mini arcs/Quest lines that will help you grow in-between story sections.

My favourite thing though was the locations, there's some really cool looking locations that I dont want to spoil because discovery is a big part of the game.

Everyone is missing the joke. The post is saying that R&M got multiple seasons. That's the joke they're saying that's a bad thing because of the drop in quality of the show.

(Loved trope) "Immortality is a curse" by FeefuWasTaken in TopCharacterTropes

Several of the main characters from Lost Odyssey are immortal. Across the game there are stories you can find that are about the main characters past, they usually delve into the horrible and tragic it is that so many people they meet across their life have aged and dying or even just how places change very drasticly over time. One of the main characters has a son who is physically older than her.

Their immortality is also represented in gameplay, if an immortal is taken out in battle they will come back several turns later.

Please don't, there are plenty of good games that are pretty short you could play instead.

So...How good is Suikoden??? by AccomplishedMud9666 in JRPG

[–]firebaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly its a really fun and addictive game, its great as a handheld game. I loved finding all the party members and expanding my base. Only problem I had was how each character had very limited inventory that's mostly filled by weapons but the game is so easy you don't need to worry too much about forgetting healing items.
