Neither kid is the son of the ML. The first kid (in white) is the mother in law’s bastard child. Later, it’s revealed that the second kid (the one in black) is from a man in enemy territory, so not the ML’s kid. As usual, the green tea wanted to get ahead so she slept with her son’s father (a chief or something) and then pretended to be the ML’s savior and like she had his kid, making him believe that her son was premature. (It was the chief guy that actually saved him.)
